I was just wondering who you guys prefer to use and think is the best for the sky diamond money cheat and which top/bottom swap force part is the best?

Grilla, Buckler and Drill Sergeant realy get your money fast

Magna and Pop Thorn.

I've always used the Buckler bottom on the endless tentacle slapping path. I that on every new swapper and money is never and issue for upgrades again.

Just to add some commentary---we're not depending on Sky Diamonds 100%...as we're finding out that playing a level can indeed afford us an average of two upgrades per skylander. It's a bit of a grind...but we're trying not to abuse this feature to feel the consequences of VV's design decisions on the playthrough.

I'd recommend those who felt that constraint playing the first two games do it at least on the initial play through.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Trigger Happy and his soul gem yet, I personally think His gatling gun can get higher than Pop Thorn.

Won't get higher than Grilla. It's a hold down spam for a constant attack...they might actually tie though...need to try it. Spy Rise has something similar for his primary attack (makes it a bullet hose).

Magna Charge, Spy Rise (On the Web Spinner Path), Hoot Loop, and Bumble Blast.

Grilla, Bumble Blast, Buckler, Pop Thorn, Scorp.

Definitely Spy Rise with the Web Spinner is one of the best.

Rubble Rouser can get a decent amount done with his hammer digging the ground and Dune Bug and his staff also works for me. They're not perfect representatives, but I just wanted to mention something different. Grim Creeper's scythe spin on the Grim Scythe Style path also works OK.

For me it's Drobot hands down. He'll get you a minimum of $10,000 while Grilla will get you maybe $7,500. An added bonus is that you can go back through the first 2 games with Drobot and buy a bunch of stuff.

Pop thorn on breather path. Got me 10,000+

Pop thorn or Grilla both add up quickly

drobot with quad lazers by far. 20000 gold per diamond.

Trigger Happy with unlimited gat ammo.
He even helps other landers, he would help more if his shots didnt also pickup money.

Ill have to try drobot though

I don't even remember. I'll unblock you. Though I do know it was in my early days of having an account, so that may be why.
Anyway, back to on topic ness. If you go on the turret path for Drilla, that works real well. Maybe Ranger? Rise if you went on Fire Tech.

Upgraded Double Trouble hitting 3 dummies at once.

Pop Thorn unpuffed, Magna, Buckler, and the many others you guys said.

I found terrafin's new soul gem pretty good. If you just spam the attack and keep hitting all of the guys you end up getting mini sharks hitting all of the dummies too. I brought in a good bit of cash doing this.

Also last time I did this cheat I forgot to get the money from one of the dummies and took off the diamond just as I noticed but then the little diamonds disappeared. Does this always happen?

EDIT: I also found Scorp to be pretty good on his stinger path

^ Yes. I tried Hoot Loop for his Deja Vu attack, or whatever, and it disappeared.

Bulcker legs is what I been using. The legs let you give the money to other swap tops and because it stays on the top you can then buy the powers for that swaps legs when you switch back. yes gorilla works but then the money stuck on gorilla. Also I use player two for getting core char money. I get 9 to 10 each ttime.
Max money on Wii u is 65535.

Can somebody explain how this works? Heard of it but never seen an explanation...

It's not a cheat....the Diamond gives you the ability to get more money....use it in the dummy area in Woodburrow and plow away.

Pop Thorn unpuffed hands down. If you have two controllers, position Pop Thorn so that his air gusts hit two training dummies, with him standing right against one of them. Position your other Skylander in front of the dummy that Pop is furthest from. Activate the sky diamond, hold dpwn pop thorns air gust and use the other skylanders fastest attack, and they will both collect a gem per hit on each of their dummies. Pop Thorn gets one for each of his hits, and the other Skylander gets a gem for each of Pop's hits plus one for every hit they make. Since its a shared pool of collected money, Pop and the other character effectively collect from 3 dummies instead of 2. Its give of take depending how fast the Skylander you want to load up hits, but I frequently pull 14k+ each session. Enough to fully upgrade from nothing for most skylanders (and with a 32% discount from the sapphires.)

Magna Charge's Magnet attack can collect Gold when upgraded. Use him, and another speedy attacking character on the 2nd controller, like Pop Thorn.

You can use Magna to upgrade other lower halves.

Just hold down 's Air Breath Thinghy while popped...

Can't really consider it a cheat, it's like something you are offered for buying the Adventure Pack. The first game had something similar to this, I don't know how many remember.

I like pop fiz and dropping acid on 3 dummies at the same time.

any character that can do a Damage over time attack is good if you take the time to keep the dots going on 3 dummies at the same time.

Has anyone noticed lately that they are gaining less from the dummies? About two weeks ago I started getting about 11K using Grilla when I used to get a little over 14K. I had done this dozens of times but have now noticed it's not the same. I'm on PS3 and again this started happening about two weeks ago. One example was when I was doing this for Volcanic Eruptor He only gained about 9400 the first go than after a reload he just stopped at about 4600. It was weird. Anyone else notice this?

Perhaps you are standing too far from the dummy. Any gems that are not collected when the timer runs out disappear and are not collected. (Or you upgraded someone in a way, or are using them in a way that results in fewer hits. You get 1 gem per hit, regardless of the damage, so upgrading which increases damage but reduces rate of fire will reduce your money)

Actually I usually have two figures hitting the same dummy. It's always yielded the same result of 14 - 16K. The coins still accumulate after the timer on the Sky Diamond has stopped. It's usually still tracking the coins for almost the same amount of time. I've done this same system for about 30 Skylanders before this so I can say with full confidence that something changed.

So far, those are the Skylanders I used to get the most gold using the Sky Diamond cheat.

Rouser bottom with 4 miners out seems to do pretty well also. You have to get all 4 out before the start and then again at 1/3 of the way through and 2/3 of the way through.

Unrelated: Rubble Zone is a very nice looking swap combo appearance-wise.
