The Old Married Couple Award
It is important to establish a normal, healthy, long-term relationship with your partner. They will give you strength and guidance throughout your lifetime and serve as a source of wisdom. This award recognizes the exact opposite of that. The winners bicker so much you'd think they were siblings. And maybe... THEY ARE! DUN DUN DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! And the nominees are... Aura24 x Kappapopm The expected frontrunners. For the bulk of 2012 and part of 2013 their arguments could be heard from the furthest reaches of the Non-Spyro section (where nobody goes anymore). And then Kappa got banned and everyone moved on with their lives. Do they still have enough momentum to claim the prize? Aura24 x LightSpyro13 Notable because these 2 actually DID get married. It's 100% legit and inscribed in the darkSpyro canon for all eternity! But rather than continuing to bicker as a couple, they started a wonderful family with three kids and a puppy named Steve for some reason. BahamutBreaker x UncleBob A rather violent example as their arguments are akin to virtual fists flying across TEH INTERNETZ. Almost always they both come out losers of the fights and anyone who is foolish enough to get caught in the crossfire requires an average of 4 weeks of hospitalization. One time they managed to a put another user in a comma. The prosecutor's office is unable to charge either of them, as there is a hold-up. I blame Doughnut Mondays. >.> Big Green x Rendar An ironic example since their arguments are always fake and possibly done to point out how ridiculous some of the arguments that take place here actually are. But just because they're insincere doesn't mean they can't win the award if their performance was good enough. Matteomax x Reimu This must be one of those Skylanders boards things. Which I know nothing about. So I'm going to pick on Skylanders more. At least with Pokémon you're not shelling out too much extra money in your quest to CATCH 'EM ALL. Skylanders has killed so many wallets it's wanted in 15 countries, 72 territories, 4 municipalities, and 1 train station. ...Greg tells me I need to stop before I "offend" someone. Big Green x windumup This is noteworthy because rather than the arguments spanning a multitude of subjects, their bickering (if you choose to call it that) was centered on a single incident that Greg has advised me not to mention by name because that could make us "liable." joerox123 x Pixilism Um... what? If you replaced that second one with "Bravo101" I'd buy it. But I'll offer you a penny at most for this one. <.> joerox123 x LightSpyro13 Uh... hmm... I'm not sure of the background about this one. I apologize for the inconvenience. My office will be giving out refunds for this nomination's blurb. ...Greg has just informed me that we do not give refunds. In fact, nobody's paid us anything. Aww, I'm sad now. ._. And the reader's choice Darky goes to... Aura24 and Kappapopm. Though they will never be reunited, their spats will life in infamy. At least you two half this award to remember your special moments by. :3 And the editor's choice Darky goes to... BahamutBreaker and UncleBob. And pretty much every single other member on the site in some way, shape, or form for that matter. Look, having debates is a perfectly healthy, normal thing to do. But these are not debates. They're arguments that have spread like wildfire and enveloped the Skylanders boards, Site Help & Suggestions, AND recently Stuff & Nonsense. As far as forums go, that's not healthy. We don't have to get along with each other. But we should want to promote a good online community in which people don't have to be afraid to state their opinions or even abandon certain boards altogether because they're terrified of how users will respond. But what do I know? I'm a walnut, remember? ^.^

We don't all mean to attract trolls. And if you do, chances are, you're probably a troll yourself. In which case, shame on you. *shakes finger disapprovingly* Whether intentional or not, this award signifies that you're like a chick magnet for trolls... a troll magnet. Don't walk under any bridges. Aha... ha... And the nominees are... Gooby Years of expert research has concluded that the number one factor that makes you a solid target for trolls is age. With young people these days getting bolder and going on sites like this unsupervised, you can bet it's only a matter of time before they attract a troll. On the other hand, I have just been told that their tears are being used to develop a perfume, "Eu du Troll'ette." Kappapopm Sometimes it takes a troll to bring out more trolls. You know how the saying goes. "It takes two to Mambo." Wait, that doesn't sound right. In any event, Kappa's presence often caused trolls lurking in the shadows to emerge. Of course, none of them were quite as effective as he was, and that's why he's not around anymore. arceustheprime For the "So I was _______ darkSpyro" topic. I do not remember what happened here, but I'm sure it was certainly a topic... ;>.> So she likely deserves the nomination. BahamutBreaker For this: //forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/viewposts.php?topic=94709. I think the janitorial staff is still cleaning up after this one. I'm sure there are a few other topics that could spark a similar reaction. But these things are basically our forum's equivalent of riots... in topic form. Yipes! "Classic vs. Skylanders" topics Yes, topics are eligible for this. These types of topics seem to forcibly inject the parts of the board on life support with enough adrenaline to stay running for a little while. What's funny is that the users who make these topics often depart the site within a few weeks. Coincidence? I think not! And the reader's choice Darky goes to... Gooby! In a stunning example of the recency effect, Gooby drew so much unwanted attention so quickly it knocked out whatever memories people had of other troll bait situations. Let this serve as a lesson that young kids need to be very careful on the internet. And the editor's choice Darky goes to... windumup! If it gets to the point where the simple act of you posting in a topic causes someone to either A) ridicule you for an embarrassing situation in the past or B) post a condescending reaction image, then you're the outright winner. Of course, windumup doesn't help his situation by choosing to respond. Just because we have freedom of speech doesn't mean we always have to use it.

Even in spite of the occasional statement that she's going to ease up on her darkSpyro time. Perhaps she administered a caffeine IV so she constantly stays awake?
