This has been gone over numerous times in the past. Apparently, those Skylanders weren't considered fan-favorites by some of the fanbase, and some of those Skylanders didn't sell very well.

In fact, Voodood was one of the worst selling Skylanders. Same with Boomer.

Boomer is great to play... And now expensive to buy!

Because activison.

I have all five, so I'm not missing out on anything.

They are all fun to play as, especially Ghost Roaster.

And I think Voodood is mad about his repose not happening.

i dont have wham shell and when i found out there was no s2 i was sooooo mad but then reliefed when lc wham-shell came in swap force.

The reason they were not reposed is, because Activision chooses Skylanders that have good sales/popularity, and these certain 5 characters were not sufficient to this, so they chose others that do have good sales.

Why no series 2 wham shell or Warnado (LC don't count)

Personally I find Sunburn and Voodood horrible to play with. Hard to use and under powered. But Ghost Roaster is not only fun to play with, he's also one of the all time coolest looking Skylanders.

Being rare the ones you mention are becoming more expensive. Perhaps this will drive up popularity enough that they will get a repose in future editions. Although I personally hope for no more reposes ever, ever again but that's just wishful thinking.

I hope they never get reposed so we can just have our annual beach and wine session over this.

Pretty sure at least one of the characters you mentionned will have a repose in the 4th game. It would be stupid to repose all of them each game :/

I still say Sunburn would make an excellent Lightcore (with an internal glow similar to Flashwing) even though at this point everyone should be series 2 first.

Boomer was one of my favorites to look at when skylanders came out. I think I like their design and playability more than several of the giants and swap force figures. Ghost Roaster and Voodood are still two of my favorites to use. I don't remember large quantities of any of these on the shelves. When Spyros Adventure was out, it seemed like there were 5 Drobots, Eruptors, Stump Smashes, and Stealth Elves to every Dino Rang, Voodood and Boomer on the shelves.

Voodood is still easily found. My local ToysRUs had about 5 or 6 of him.

hopefully these guys will be reposed in skylanders 4 especially

I'm with ya, I enjoy Boomer very much, no other Skylander is quite like him.

I know how you all feel. Let's face it, a few certain Skylanders are getting very tiresome to see all the time. Eruptor has very much overstayed his welcome, Stealth Elf is getting annoying, Terrafin is trying to be the new Shroomboom with his million ways to get him, Chop Chop and Cynder ruined it for both and and how they could choose Sprocket over Boomer is anyone's guess. These guys are clearly very underrated and deserve another shot in getting an improvement and feel they need a wow pow the most.

I saw a S1 Dino Rang this week in TRU. A few, in fact. Thought it was funny.

I think keeping a few Skylanders from the first game not reposed could also be a way to reward those who bought them early back when the first game came out.

They will probably always make a new spyro cuz the first game was spyros adventure and he's why skylanders were ever made but I don't mind cuz he's one of my favourites

I hope next game they release a S2 he is my favorite Earth currently. (That might change when comes out and i get him.

Him and Trigger Happy are the defacto mascots for this game. However, I agree with OP, it'd be nice for Sunburn and Ghost Roaster to get a s2 or, even better, lightcore.

It probably has to do with fan appeal as well as what they think of for the character. To be frank, Ghost Roaster and Sunburn are pretty much spent in their attack set but it'd be nice to see them get new moves.

I know there isn't a series 2 Ghostroaster.
So why doesn't my series 1 not count in the Skylanders collection?

voodood is simply a meelee character, how can he be hard to use? also, if you think it's underpowered... lol. basic combo deals almost 200 damage

of all the ones listed, the only one i can't believe it's so unpopular it's dino rang. it's a dinosaur, why kids don't love him?

Basically because they didn't sell well. The Voodood/Boomer 3-pack and the singles both sold poor enough that they didn't feel the need to restock.
And I believe that people avoided Ghost Roaster because he looked too 'scary' for younger kids - the other adventure packs outsold Darklight Crypt by a lot - hence the reason they kept making the other three packs while Giants was already out, but Darklight was never restocked.

Pretty sure that’s true… either that or there was a lot of stock stored somewhere in NZ that kept trickling them out long after they stopped being produced. But I know that Kiwi stores were still getting shipments of Dragons Peak (and Pirate Seas and Empire of Ice) around the time Eye Brawl and Thumpback came out (confirmed by staff at JB hi-fi and by a stock master at the The Warehouse).

It is possible that they just had old stock being distributed, and it is true that there were a lot more Pirate Seas and Empire of Ice even at that time.

It was enough to drive the prices down on eBay from $100 to $50. The prices still haven't went back up even though no one has seemed to find them since that one time.

No I got it near the start of wave 2 or 3 it did not come out in wave 4
