Silly question, but my Xbox 360 was purchased a couple of years ago with the Kinnect as a bundle and we don't have a hard drive in our system. We do however have 4GB of flash. We are casual users and we have over 2.5GB free on our flash drive.
Does Swap Force require hard disk install on PS3 or Xbox or does it run entirely from the media disk like the first two games?
The box says 256MB for storage of "stuff" so I think I'm covered with the flash memory....just want to confirm.

The PS3 version requires a small install, but all versions of the PS3 come with a hard drive so that's wouldn't be an issue and (as far as I know) the 360 version doesn't require an install at all. If it does, you can always use a USB stick instead.

Call me old fashioned--it just seems weird to install to a USB drive. But it's definitely an option since it's basically extensible flash although if it's running at USB 2.0 standards the IO seems like it would be a problem. I just want to confirm we aren't looking at GIGs of storage requirements--would love to see how big someone's XBOX install is looking.

No it does not but you can still do it to reduce the loading times.

Yeah it does NOT require an install...
However when you get sick of the cust scenes, you'll reach to install it to cut down on the load times. - Unreall |

The question is already answered, however if you can I'd install. It cuts down on the cd-rom noise, etc. However it's not completely necessary. I installed 'Skyrim' on a flash drive simply because of the constant load times, leaving/entering houses/towns/etc. Good Lcuk! |

Very few XBox 360 games require an install, mainly because it alienates the people that bought the fairly popular 4GB version of the console. The only one I can readily recall is GTAV.
Typically I only install the games that will have a significant amount of loading and will play quite a lot. I have never installed a Skylanders game because the load times are practically inconsequential. |
