Unfortunately, it looks like just his head fuse lights up. Originally, I figured his face would glow too, but the product image makes it look like it doesn't. Honestly, they could have worked on that and made a semi transparent red for light up.

Shame there's not really any "crystal" characters besides Prism and Flashwing. Those ones are made for Lightcore.

Jolly Bumble Blast is butt fugly. His jaw/chin looks like half of a golf ball. I'm sure the artist was trying to make it look like a "Santa beard" ... but wow; fail.

If this wasn't a variant, most people would just laugh and leave this on the shelves. I still see Halloween Eye-Brawls on the shelves from October. I doubt this goofy thing will do much better.

But hey; to each, his/her own.

Just for fun, but everyone with Next Gen Console versions (ie, Wii U, PS4 and Xbone) can upload screenshots to various image hosting sites.
Kind of a neat little feature if you're showing someone the game or whatever.

Bumble blast looks weird to me. I'll probably get one anyway, but I can't say he looks good. He looks like he's got half a soccer ball for a chin, and that tongue isn't helping him any. Why didn't they do a different theme than creepy santa bumble?? They could've used a wreath or holly theme instead, which would've worked better for a life type skylander. Honestly, Santa is associated with magic! They could've made a reindeer Spyro, which wouldn't have looked that bad. He's got the antlers, so just paint him up like a reindeer, give him some holiday touches and voila! Actually, that's a new project for anyone with the means: Make santa's 8 reindeer out of Series 3 Spyros (bonus for 1 series 1 painted like Rudolph), and make someone else santa. Maybe Boomer. He would make the funniest santa ever! And he looks so jolly doesn't he? SOMEONE MUST DO THIS!!!

Reindeer Spyro or Reindeer Cynder would have been 100x cooler than "Jolly" Bumble Blast. Good call.

As for S3 figures...
Winterized Pop Thorn would work...

Heh. It's not a stretch, so I guess it was an easy call? Maybe in the future they should ask kids what types of varients they would like to see instead. Kids can come up with some awesome things if you give em the chance.

The setup for these makes me wonder if Jade Fire Kraken could come out for New Years (or more logically Chinese New Year). Springtime Trigger Happy is obviously slated for spring, possibly near Easter.

addition: Elf Grim Creeper? What about Jack Frost Grim Creeper? Have him clear icey-blue with a frost tint on the edges and a frosted scythe.

They should actually do like Nike does with their Doernbecher Freestyle project, where they let kids who are in the hospital for various ailments design select shoes...most of which are some of the coolest colorways and designes of those shoes (look at the Jordan VI Doernbecher for example). Instead of trying to come up with themes themselves, get the community to input and then give money to a worthy cause for those figures. I mean like @TheLurk's Jack Frost Grim Creeper is a GREAT idea...his pose already hints at it too.

+1! Though they would probably need to make them candy cane dynomites, so kids don't think Santa condones violence.

Great. Now my fingers are just iching to start making some sort of santa clothes for my Boomer.. I need to find a good deal so I can save alot of $$ if I want to buy those Spyros....I'm still debating this though. That, and I need to actually have 8 available at a store at one time too....D Hmmm.....if they had an extra Boomer or a single of an older spyro that'd be a bonus too...if someone can do this they need to post the pics!

No, we don't know, but my guess is every of the last base characters except for lightcore Bumble Blast. Then the rest of the variants will be released at there perspective times of the year.
