Opinion: Should a new player (getting Swap Force) jump on TRU SSA deals [CLOSED]

Several SSA triple packs with Red Hot Deals today at $9.99

As a new Skylander player who will be getting Swap Force...what are your opinions: "jump on" these deals or let them go.

IMO...jump...3 figures for $10 is a good deal. They won't have the wow-pows, but some of them didn't get reposes either so the only way to get them is the SSA figures.

Jump on them; some of those characters can be hard to find (Boomer), so get them if you can find them.

Thanks for the tips.

What about the Adventure Packs from SSA? Will they be worth it?
If I eventually get my hands on a Wii version of SSA would I still enjoy it after playing Swap Force?

I would definitely jump at the deal. The only draw back is looking for the original figures. Some are harder to find than others. If you don't care or up for that challenge go for it.

It's only for select sets online. If you are insanely lucky and can find it in store, this sale does apply to Darklight Crypt and the triple packs with Boomer. If Darklight Crypt and the Boomer triple pack were made available online, you can bet that they would go out of stock VERY quickly!

I think the adventure packs are worth it. Especially if you find Darklight Crypt and/or Dragon's Peak. Those characters are still only available in those packs.

Dude...what are you talking about? There are several sets available at TRU.com for shipping. There were 6 available this morning and obviously some some out online, but there are some available. I just added the Dragon's Peak to my cart just now. None available for store pick up...maybe that's what you were hoping for???

When I view each of them, there's an instock indicator that looks like is out. I didn't even try to add it to the cart. I was referring to triple packs, not the adventure packs.

Dragon Peak isn't as rare but DLC don't get me started.

Boomer seems to have been found by some collectors, but in MUCH smaller quantities. One guy mentioned they had them all over Washington state. I found Boomer in the triple pack the other day in central NJ (scalper area). I saw a single pack of Boomer go for I think like $11 or $12 on Ebay the other day. I think we'll be seeing a little bit more of Boomer with a little patience.

Guess I'm going all in on this game...picked up Pirates/Ice/Dragon's adventure packs at my local TRU for $9.99 each this afternoon.

Now trying to watch eBay for a good deal on the Spyro game/portal.

Went to tru tonight, while they did have ssa triples i havent seen in awhile...no boomer, no camo for that matter.I didnt need either as i was there for the thomas trains table sale
