The paint looks great, but the overly human eyes really creep me out. I can't help but feel if they had made the eyes all one colour it wouldn't be so weird looking.

The seller is from Hong Kong, which I'm sure is where they manufacture the figures. Who says that it will load in the game, since the software is made in the U.S.? Must be an empty figure...

@lordexodus If they make the figures there, I don't see any reason that they wouldn't make the RFID chips there. Why would they ship it to the US just to have some papers inserted into it? Not to mention after that they'd need to ship some more to *ahem* PAL regions, as well as Japan. Also, the base is already on there, and I don't see why they'd remove the base to put the chip in rather than chip and then base.

Anyway, he looks nice, but I'm kinda disappointed that he's not a bit more glossy.

Yes the great and powerful beetle mage has arrived! is no doubt the best looking figure in the line. His paint complements him so well and love the fact that he's a beetle that uses magic. Must have him now!

Well I say he's quite an amazing figure and will easily be the second coolest character right behind who still wins. I always loved bugs and am glad that I have a new one to add to my collection. Come on stores bring me my precious!

His paint job is great, but the colors are ugly and he is too.

Meh, he really isn't all that appealing. He has a really dumb expression on his face, and his gameplay looks rather boring.

In fact, I don't understand why everyone loves certain Skylanders so much. Stink Bomb, Freeze Blade, Fire Kraken, Dune Bug.....I like the other characters much more.

Bugs aren't supposed to be pretty. Dune Bug fits the bill nicely.

Well there are some pretty bugs like butterflies and crickets are also considered pretty in some countries for their singing. I for one still say he looks awesome and maybe some don't like him because he does seem like another very underrated Skylander.

No you really don't. It would be better to come out after all the madness when people did their shopping so they don't expect it and people have a better chance at them. If it came out Black Friday they would all be gone in 10 minutes. I work at TRU and we have NO, Zero, nada information that would make people assume they are coming out this week. Amazon France changed their expected date to Dec 3rd now so they don't even know.

Does everyone recall the TRU hot item message and people got confused and assumed that the new wave was coming out, when in effect it wasn't? I foresee another repeat of this.

I guess you don't understand what "in-hand" means.
It means that you currently have a physical item, and this is an actual, physical image of a character that isn't out yet.

Semantics perhaps, but in-hand usually means you have physical possession. I know you've won the auction, and it has to be put on a boat to get to your house.

I wouldn't encourage these sells. They are often factory employees stealing from the factory. You won't get the sticker, the webcode nor the packaging and will only incentive these workers to do it more often. You pay an item over its retail value just to have it before the others while you could only wait a couple of weeks, have the full packaging while not encouraging thieves.

True. I don't encourage it, unless you're absolutely sure that it's safe. I've done it several times, and I've had no problems.


But, the good thing is: Some of these items are unique. I just paid for a unique Gray LightCore Prism Break, that could be a prototype.

No matter what I say; don't do it if you're looking for working figures. These are strictly for collectors.
