Here I am, chipping and building upon something that has been in my head for such a long time, and revised so many times, and there's always that feeling when you work so much on something, especially when it is something you've haven't yet succeeded with -- that it'll all turn out for naught. In a sense, the development process is quite rewarding itself, as I've learned many things and am bound to learn many things, but this is truly the first time I've put my heart so much into this silly little RP site.

My 'heart' seems to be a very long-winded one, for I sit back and look at all this information -- there's tonnes of it, this world is so built up that it is difficult not for me to go on about it, and I'm not sure that potential members would be as passionate about reading all this as I would. The length seems like it would be a major factor into shoving certain people away, which makes me think that I should wait to open the site for the summer, when many people in the RPing world have more time. There's also the many other what-ifs surrounding the content -- what if my writing seems too tedious or uninspired? I wouldn't ever call myself the best writer, but I know that I have the capacity to be highly creative and that some people genuinely like my writing even if I can't see why they do.

There is issues of coding, and the site's mechanics in general -- I worry that, what if this is all more of the same, or what if some of these things are a bit too different? There are so many what ifs, and concerns which lead to this disheartening feeling as I work on this site. I worry that perhaps I'm not giving fellow writers enough freedom, or if I'm not adding enough motivation and challenge to the site, or if it just does not represent itself as something I want to have it be. I'm worried that as I revise and edit the site's content, that some of my initial passion for the site is lost, and most of all I worry that I may not even finish the site. I think, and know, that I sometimes toot my own horn when I think I know what to talk about, because I don't really have much experience in running a RP site for long. Of course, these worries are not constantly plaguing my mind, but they pass me time to time as I work and etch away at what I consider one of my darlings, and I've come to a conclusion. (Yes, this is more than just a rambling entry!)

There is no true knowing how this will result, and it's more likely that it'll take just as long to get a userbase as it's taken to finish the entire site on my own. I am having fun doing it, and learning many things about my creative process, so even if it's all a flop like this disheartening feeling tells me it may, it was not all for naught -- no, something like this will not be for nothing. I will make sure that I am happy with its final result, and not to set my standards so high as to believe it will ever be very popular, because these things take time. I mean, the site may never be what I have envisioned it to be in the past, and it's getting harder to run successful sites in the forum RPing world, but at no time will I ever think it was a waste of time, or just not worthwhile.

Posting this here because I think it's rambling/reflectiony enough for this thread.

If I cannot find a way to escape this torment, I might as well just find a way to end myself, because apparently all I am is just a big, stupid, problematic nuisance to everyone.
I can't cry whenever I'm upset about something, even if it's over something that others consider silly, when to me, it's a way out.
I can't be angry when a certain community disrespects me.
I can't be happy, because there will always be something out there to ruin it.
I hate this little game called life. Why can't I just reset myself?

What are your motives? You don't go asking a ___ grader that stuff, that's not right. I'm not stupid like you might think I am, I'm smart enough to know that you're pushing too hard, and you're digging for something. We're not lying. What the heck do we have to hide?? We tell the truth, and I can tell you don't believe it. You just nod, because as you would say, "______ ________." Right. I'm scared of you. You stress me out, and that causes physical pain to me. You act like you care, but you have no sympathy whatsoever. If you had ____ you'd act like this too so stop pushing me. I need to be brave and stand up to you, but I'm too scared. I'll get emotional and freak out in that office, and I know it. Despite how major it might be for me to say that in front of the __________, I can't. I'm sorry... It's too much... I shouldn't hide from problems, but expressing myself is really hard for me. And it doesn't help with someone like you there.
