Ehhh.... I dont think that's a very good idea. FR would take over the DC part, and DC would just disappear.

Funny how my phone was showing that it was -1 Celsius degrees in one town in England and over here.

And now I have no idea how am I going to determine is it too cold or too warm outside for my winter jacket because my precious smartphone is on a repair. It should be back within 7~10 days but that's a bit too long for me since I depend on all those apps. ;__;
Oh well, I pulled out my old, awesome phone out... took me an hour to set up the internet. Now I struggle with the old-fashioned keyboard and slow performance. e.e

I barely ever use my phone. It doesn't have any apps or anything because it's an older phone, so I just use it for contacts. But even then, when I lose the charger or something I always start to really need it when I can't use it. I'll not use it for months then I'll have people trying to call me right when I can't turn it on any more -_-

I honestly never pick up my phone when someone's calling me. I can't talk to people over any sort of a microphone or device, I have no idea why. I only answer my dad who calls me when something is really urgent. XD
Otherwise I use Google's Hangout, Skype (which now sucks with the latest update), and SMS, but I use SMS only to tell my dad to pick me up somewhere. I just wouldn't be able to survive without these stuff, I don't talk to anyone at school because they're all idiots, so I text my friend at different school. Who takes away my phone, he takes away my social life. e.e

same goes for laptop and computer.

#787 Posted: 17:21:48 19/11/2013
I absolutely loathe talking over a phone. It makes me so uncomfortable, even with friends. It's not so bad if it's my mum or dad but anyone else and I feel incredibly awkward. Maybe it's just the voice without a face. You can't read body language. And if there's an awkward pause it's harder to pick up the conversation. I suppose feeling uncomfortable about it is not an uncommon thing, but then again, there are people who spend hours at a time on the phone to their friends. As soon as any of my friends rings me I'm sitting there just waiting to get it over and done with. XD
And now you have no social life for a week or more :< good luck surviving in school among those of lesser intelligence

Haha yepp. When you live where I do, you have an almost certain chance of snow - it's normally this time of year it kicks in. My dad said he couldn't roll down the window in his car tonight driving home from work at 5pm - it had frozzen..electric blankets on tonight me thinks. XD

And there was me thinking I might die of hypothermia if I didn't put my fan heater on for a while XD snow never gets terrible down here- the main problem is the ice. The snow is a bit slushy and horrible normally, then it freezes over on the roads and pavements. It's pretty dangerous. The past few years I've been off school for at least a few days of the winter because of snow and ice, but I don't want to miss out on work.

I know, it's less awkward when you have nothing to say in person, since you can act like you're thinking about deep stuff and what not, but on the phone you're just waiting for that other person to say something and hope it ends as soon as possible. XD

Ah yeah, thats whats happening tonight - it started melting about noon, then started freezing about 4pm so its gonna be fun trying to drive in that tomorrow.. Your school bus gets cancelled due to ice? Pih, last year my bus got stuck on a hill behind a lorry which was also stuck in deep snow..they couldnt get any rescue thing out so we sat in a non heated bus for 45 mins while they dug gaps in the snow, and still had to go to school. Ah, silly English people, closing school for 1 cm of snow. XD

2 years ago, a bus drove off the road and got stuck in the snow. The driver forced everybody in the bus to get out and wait on the main road for another bus. And as for me and my friend, we had to walk downhill...on an icy path. It took us ages to get to school... and I'm talking about half a meter of snow here. XD

I feel like my friend and I should have sat onto our butts and just slide down and hope for the best, and that we won't end up under a truck. XD

**** that, I would have slid down on ma butt. XD

One time, our bus broke down at the top of a large hill - because it was a narrow country road, he just took the handbrake off and slid all the way down, trusting the people at the back to guide him right...XD

Actually I'm further up north, funnily enough! I never take a bus, but I get dropped off by car and in the ice we get, it's a bit dangerous to be driving or walking. We don't want to risk it normally when the roads are slippy, it's tough to drive on. Also, a lot of teachers who live further away can't get in so in the end nobody sees the point and the school will shut.

To be fair we aren't that used to it, it turns up for a few days a year so we've never learned to self-defend. XD

Though to be fair to us, we're very accepting, generally. I'm aware that not all countries are as accepting of different groups as we are. So we're pretty good in that way.
