Mesmeralda's Show blocked? [CLOSED]

I noticed that some walkthroughs/playthroughs that contain the intro to Mesmeralda's Show are being blocked globally on Youtube by Activision Publishing, inc.

But SkylandersGame are likely the only ones to keep their copy of the intro up on their channel. What is going on with Activison?

It would be ridiculous to allow only SkylandersGame to have the part up, when likely numerous uploaders will have a part of their walkthroughs blocked for having the intro up.

They might be worried people will take the audio from the Cutscene and make it into an audio file, therego the song for free.

If it helps to solve the mystery, Matt Pirog wrote the song rather than Lorne Balfe.

Maybe he was given the copyright to the song and won't allow any others to post the intro?mthat would be ridiculous.

I uploaded a video of Mesmeralda's Show intro on my channel some time ago. After reading this topic, I went to my Video Manager. It said "Video blocked worldwide", I read the notice and "Awkowledged" that it is copyrighted material and now it seems the video can be viewed normally. Can you guys watch it?

Well, A few months ago it was reported that Youtube was starting to get more strict on enforcing copyright. Its possible that some game developers are trying to stop spoilers on youtube on purpose.

Rockstar Games was getting google to pull all Grand Theft Auto V videos from youtube for a few weeks before they stopped.

Interestingly enough Activision's Skylander Game Youtube channel uploaded the song with three different versions: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC2tqi4uzSWEifmyxbb5ltQ

I'm also pretty sure they know about Skylander Boy and Girl's video. Their channel has more subbers than Activision's

The8bittheater has the most subscribers than both SkylandersGame and SkylanderBoy andGirl, their 79,214 subs to SkylanderBoy andGirl's 68,266 and SkylanderGame's 67,216.

Still, SkylandersGame being the only one to uploade the musical part, it's quite unfair.

Correct. You would have to ask Skylanderperson for what his deal is with Activision. For the rest they are allowed to remove any content now. It's in the policy statement that seems to not be read.

By uploading it in diff. languages and blocking elsewhere, they are forcing you to give their videos views and possibly subs.

Activision already gets billions of dollars from the toys... It's just wrong to take away from other YouTubers and rack up even more.

If I was a big name YouTuber, I would've filed a complaint against them.
