I had problems with the loud flushing sounds of toilets, so I hardly flushed. I got away with it a lot in school. I still have issues with the noise, but now I flush.
I was afraid of the dark and I wanted a light on in the hall all the time. But, I was bothered by little points of light in my line of sight. I would always cover the side of my head with my blanket to obstruct my view of the dot of light. I have gotten into the habit of still covering my head for no apparent reason. Little points of light in the darkness still bother me, I had to get up quite often to turn off my laptop or unplug it because of the dots of light.

As a child I had a fear of men yelling or showing anger, I'd stay in my room for hours. Now.. I still have that fear, but I try to avoid the man who shows that anger or when they yell at me.... hmm, I don't think that will ever change. Thanks Dad.

When I was around 7, I watched the Goosebumps show, and it was the episode with the creepy ventriloquist doll. For 3 years those things scared me so bad, and I had hundreds of ventriloquist puppet related nightmares. I got over it by.... Actually I just randomly got over it. I guess I realized how silly it was.

Well with a scary arse character (tis not gonna say whom). I just kind of tried to understand the motives and his personality. In fact the guy's personality is relatively random. I mean if you take off the armor you get a freaking scary ass Mr. Hyde (or in my case a Mr. Kill) that is not only vicious, but extraordinarily random. We're talking like grab an ax and chop every darn wall in the house. Because you don't care (or he's probably looking for his armor...idk). Then with his armor on he still is somewhat intimidating, but he's not insane. Heck he maybe a little random, but it's more being fun/funny random, not out of nowhere insane random. Though at that state he can still kill, but only when told to or if needed to. Plus when I was doing research on him, I actually did not know he spoke in German and some more languages. So he's freaking awesome now because you know why he goes nuts and what he's like in both personas.

Espurr is not scary. That and he was around before Espurr was even invented or even a meme. He was there before Villager was scary. He's not always crazy. Let's just say people can have scary characters. Basically casting a shadow on shadows.

I don't like space that I barely have any room to move. Even get more freaked out if I can't get out. However, if I'm surrounded by people, I can deal with that. I guess is being surrounded by walls that I can't break.
I haven't really done anything about it. Is not like I get in that situation often. |

I got over that in......Grade 4....?

Clowns... Effing clowns.
Honestly if I ever had a remote thought that could be related to clowns I couldn't sleep. I kinda got over it, I just kept visualizing me beating them to death. Usually with magical powers, or giant robots or something. They're still creepy though.

I fear speaking in front of many people. I'm still not over it.
I fear my medical issues will cause more problems than nessasary at school. Not over that. I feared people wouldn't like me when I went to a new school. Over that. My solution was to just be who I am. I was scared of Chuck E' Cheese... I'm still a little scared of him now. His eyes stare into your soul.... O.o

The dark.
I hated not being able to see. Though, with many times where I was forced to sleep in complete darkness, (family vacations in hotels, ect.) I got over it. But now, with my failing vision, I actually find it easier to see in the dark now than in the light. Probably because I'm light sensitive. The light is harsh on my eyes, while the darkness isn't. I got over my fear of the dark at around 4th grade. Before then I usually had 3-4 night lights in my room. They gave off enough light that I probably could've left my main light on while I slept. It's just, I had a twisted imagination. I always imagined what could be hiding in the dark. Murderers, monsters, ect. Whenever I felt my pajamas rub against the back of my leg while I was sleeping on my stomach, it would scare the crap out of me. Any weird feeling or wind would freak me out. I would always face the outside of my bed (my bed was in a corner then.) and watch for anything to be moving in the dark. I always felt terrified when I had my legs or arm hanging off the side of the bed. I still haven't quite gotten over that one. |

I used to be scared to flush in public toilets too, especially if they were really loud. The main reason was because I watched a mummy horror movie when I was a lot younger that had a scene with mummy bandages coming out of a toilet and grabbing this dude and dragging him in it, so it creeped me out. I definitely got over it though.
I used to be scared of the dark, I got over that though. I used to not be able to sleep if my toes weren't covered with my blanket because I felt I was "protecting" them, I'm okay with doing that now though. My grandparents had a big glass clown figure the size of a garden gnome that freaked me out, but I got over that too. etc. Quote: BrutalBash101

That's not a bad thing at all. It won't start a war. ![]() I was afraid of demons and dark spirits as well, but I've never read a page of the bible and I got over it on my own. I was afraid that they would hide in the dark and get me in my sleep. Though, I'm not scared of them anymore because I know that have no power over me. Do I believe in them? Somewhat. Am I scared of them? No, not any more. I don't think they can do anything to me. In a book I read, (my version of dark spirits and demons is different to the religious version) dark spirits fed off of fear and got more powerful off of it, and other negative energies. So, I figured that if I wasn't scared of them anymore, they'd have no power over me. And now I don't fear them. |

I don't know why, but listening to metal (my dad blasted it every day when I was younger) used to scare me until the 5th grade. It give me harsh nightmares and I developed other irrational fears from it like entering enclosed spaces and seeing gore. I got over it somehow and around the 9th grade, I really started to like the genre. I'm a full-blown metalhead now. \m/ Life can take a crazy turn!
