Starter pack characters not too popular? [CLOSED]

I've noticed so far that in the weekly poll, the starter swappers have a very low amounts of votes compared to the others of tier element. I would just like to see if there r reasons why they seem so unpopular as I like both of them.

Wash Buckler...Sucks. He is not a very good character.
Blast Zone is cool IMO, and is part of my favorite combo (Rattle Zone)
Stealth Elf...Is Stealth Elf.

I like Wash Buckler and Blast zone and stealth elf is in the top 3 most OP skylanders along with ghost roaster and Night shift. In my opinion at least. Wash buckler and blast zone isnt THAT special though compared to others. That must have been activisions plans. To give you the "less popular" characters to get you to buy the more appealing ones. How about the 3DS ones?

Night Shift is the best Swapper out right now. Wash buckler is horrible, blast zone is just ok.

Wash buckler is awesome o.o (well unless you mean PVP in that case he's kinda low tier) but in story mode he rocks! his bubbles can trap enemies he can then pop those bubbles to get a shield that protects him from 1 hit and pops doing damage around him, his sword attacks are fast and do decent damage and his lower half can help him dodge and throw enemies into the air!

Blast zone is one of my favorites as well his bombs are kinda weak but there weak because his soul gem gives him the ability to throw 2 bombs at once doubling his damage AND his fire wall is amazing with team mates I'd usually play Dark Blast loop and I'd set up a fire wall during boss fight and let my friend playing as nitro magna shake unload on the boss with flaming shots doing tons of damage!

TLsmilieR Blast zone is awesome with fast projectile team mates and Wash buckler is fast and a decent melee fight with defensive capabilities.

I really like wash buckler, he's a lot of fun. Blast Zone is just cumbersome with his attacks. And I'm loving stealth elfs new power, so much better than the last.

Blast Zone is okay.
And Stealth Elf is just Stealth Elf. OP and ninja.

The problem is not that, the problem is getting the Arena Challenges done, I haven't seen anyone get the 3 Stars required with them with just the starter characters. So it's not to say that they are "bad" just that they are not the "best" characters for Arena.

Wash Buckler is alright, somewhere in the middle, not the worst character and not the best. Typical starter pack type character.

I thought Blast Zone would be good for the final Arena Challenge that I was playing in Nightmare Mode (the one where you can't get hit and have 1 HP) since he's got the bombs bouncing around everywhere and you can keep moving. Surprisingly, I finally beat that one with Zoo Lou (having the wolf out attacking enemies while doing a long range attack and constantly moving was the key). What do you guys feel is most effective in arenas or situations where you want to avoid being hit?

Well, me and my brother used Wash Buckler(oh yes we did!) and s1 Jet-Vac to get the job done first try. (Wash Buckler's pihrana bubbles and Jet-Vac's air shots. Long range baby!)

So basically long range attacks.

I happen to like Wash Buckler and I love putting his Octopus legs on anybody! His legs go with everything in my opinion and never look weird (except on Free Ranger maybe)! I also love to use that bubble gun of his.

His catchphrase is utterly retarded though: "Eight Legs and No Pegs!". Fool, you only have 6 legs (arms don't count) with your own legs and if I swap you with someone else, you'll only have 2 legs (for somebody else, maybe even no legs at all!). Catchphrases as a whole are very lame and bad puns, but this is one of the worst of the worst.

His Mustache is also a severed arm/tentacle, which kinda creeps me out.

Blast Zone, meh. I don't really like him that much and is currently my least favorite of the new characters, only one that comes close is Grim Weeper.

1. Character design is absolutely lame and unoriginal. An Arkeyan Robot + Ignitor = This guy. I don't care what his stupid bio says or if the SWAP Forcers are 100 years older, his story goes like this in my eyes:

"During a great battle between Ignitor (after Kaos sent him back into to the old Cloudbreak Islands as an attempt to get rid of him) and a gang of Arkeyan robots, he accidentily shot his flaming soul into one of their bodies. It trapped him inside because that robot was enchanted, creating a duplicate soul that went back into his original body. Now trapped in an Arkeyan's Body, Ignitor bombarded the Arkeyan Knuckledusters and other robots with his new infinite magical bombs and flamethrower head to burn them to ashes, renaming himself Blast Zone after that battle".

2. Bomb and Dash Moves are a little Generic, mostly had with the flamethrower.

3. Toy form is boring and looks weird on almost anyone other than himself.

If Dark Slobber Tooth counts as a Starter Skylander, then I must say he truly stinks. Volcanic Eruptor is not powerful enough and too slow of a fighter.

I actually really like Wash Buckler... It is soooo much fun using his tentacles! I tried out the cutlass path with Tentacoolest and have yet to try the other paths, but I'm definitely looking forward to it, going for a more ranged play style! The bubble gun is also fun to use sometimes, even though it's not the best attack. Wash Buckler is very overlooked and deserves more love. I was looking forward to him as an extra character to use when the game was announced but I was actually surprised at how much fun I had using him.
Blast Zone is meh. I like the ideas behind his attacks a lot but he's just too clunky to use in practice. Boom Jet is a better Rocket, and Fire Kraken is a better Fire.
I'm sick of Stealth Elf, and prefer the S2 Wow Pow, and I don't like the changes they made to her by making her attacks heavier-feeling in SF... So yeah, not too thrilled about that...

Dark Starter characters: Spyro is average, just boring standard ranged character. Holds a special place though, he was my first Skylander in the SA 3DS starter pack.
Slobber Tooth is the only Earth character out of the three that I've tried in SF that I actually enjoyed so far. He's not the best of all characters but I like how he's just raw stuff.

All three of the 3DS starter characters suck in my eyes, though.
Rattle Shake was a huge disappointment, he had so much potential, but his attacks never really went anywhere interesting and that one upgrade where you hold jump on his lower half is totally useless- he's not a fun character.
Free Ranger just doesn't catch my attention at all, I was looking forward to the tornado, but it ended up being much worse than I expected, and his other attacks are just average meleeist moves.
Eruptor is a character I'm just tired of like Stealth Elf, and it doesn't help that he was already one of my least favourites before the fifth version had come 'round.

Jet-Vac was a better Starter Pack character than any in Swap Force IMO

all of them sucks, it was a bad choice to include that stealth elf too, it didnt help one bit. the other games the start kit characters was so cool, it just shows that activision have made to many figures and saturation have started.

I don't like Stealth Elf so I literally only put her on the portal and then put her in storage. I've played with Wash Buckler a bit but have hardly touched Magna Zone since I got Fire Kraken.
