I'd just like to confirm that one Swapper of each element/movement (only 8 if done right) and the two adventure packs get me access to all possible levels/story mode areas in SSF. If not, then what will?

Good! Now I just need to magic up some cash for the sale at Toys R Us on Thanksgiving to get the Wii U bundle and start collecting. I have a Wii, but I've seen there are issues, and I won't mind the better graphics.

Whatever the 40 or so characters I'll have from all three games gets me for the Portal Master rank will have to do. *shrugs*

Battle mode has never been my thing.

Not exactly true. You need them to get all the Accolades, but you can still reach the maximum Rank of 80 by doing other challenges.

I think people are too hung up on Portal Master rank. It’s not really part of the game, it’s just a bonus for people who manage their money badly. It’s a reward for those with too many figures, not a punishment for those that don’t.

However for minimum toy purchase, one should go with the first set as they will get Wash Buckler & Blast Zone from the starter pack. Getting Spy Rise and Boom Jet would then be redundant.

To keep with getting one of each elemenet, then they would need to get Magna Charge, Free Ranger, Hoot Loop, Rattle Shake, Stink Bomb, and Rattle Rouser. This would mean buying only 6 swappers instead of the 8 that set 2 would require.

I've got my swapper plans all planned out, Stink Bomb, Rattle Shake, Rubble Rouser, Magna Charge, Hoot Loop, Free Ranger, the starter pack, and then Spy Rise just because he's awesome

Uh i think you can reach maximum portal master rank with just the basic figures needed to access all zones and a giant. a lot of stars to be made with swap zones, bonus missions, and solo and team survival

Can't you beat the game and story mode with just the starter pack? Sure, you can't access some of the side quests, but that's not story mode...

I think he meant more a case of playing through all possible levels, which one of each swapper type is needed for. Might as well mention too that you're going to need one of each holiday variant (Kickoff Countdown, Jolly Bumble Blast, and Springtime Trigger Happy) and a Target pre-order card to unlock all the hats.

I only have 4 swappers... and I'm lvl 40... still a lots of chapter to do... and there's also the arena, multiplayer arena, speed chapter, Score chapter... And bonus maps... With all these done, I think you'll be lvl 80!

I need and cuz he's cool! I already have The other one, I'll only buy them if I have enought money! Cuz I don't like them too much... Don't have battle or story pack yet...
