I didn't word the title properly in Town Square I need 8 gems but I can't find them anywhere. Is there some sorta hidden place?!

...the only place I can think of is that area where you chase the egg guy. There could be some gems there that you missed. .-.

Make sure to kill all the enemies as well.

Go around every building, there's tons of nooks and crannies in them.

Inside the building that you start from, when you reach the "highest point" in Cliff Town after rescuing that dragon, go behind you, and glide over the right wall, and behind the building from where you start from are some hidden gems. There's a couple of hidden gems behind a small step, before you start ascending to the top to the Home Portal. I think there's two blue ones.

^Jagged said Town Square, not Cliff Town.

If you go round the side of the building where the thief was, there should be a few gems there. Just check every corner.

I just replayed that level yesterday, and I missed those gems the first time I was running through, too. I love how there were some things that seemed impossible to find like missing one or two gems and how they were actually hidden in the most geniously un-obvious spots.

I don't know, I don't have problems about getting collectibles (gems in this case)
