I'm getting the game on Christmas and just was wondering what the controls are like on the Wii U and if you can play multiplayer with one gamepad and one pro controller?
Thanks

This is exactly how I have been playing. So I can confirm that works. Getting used to the new button layout so that the b button can be used for jumping is kinda crazy though.

I collect way more than just Skylanders and other video games, check it out.

It's much easier to play with the Wii U GamePad because it also lets all of us to nickname our figures much quicker than using other controllers like the Wii Remote, Nunchuck, etc.

Those last two might be backwards.

Differs from the Wii U... and the Wii U doesn't use shaking at all. Son and I liked the shaking for treasure chests and gift boxes. Now its mash A for treasure chests and wiggle analog stick for presents... booooooooo!

Why would they change that? The Wii U pad has motion for shaking.

The Pro Controller does not have shaking, therefore it would require two methods of input depending on the controller.

C and Z are mixed up, but, besides that, that's right.
