Ever since Series 3 figures have arrived, I've been comparing which Wow Pow is the best or worst with their Series 2 versions. And here are the following:
Spyro - Fireslam / Head Start!
Trigger Happy - Megablast / Rocket Ride!
Prism Break - Pulse Power / Crystal Comrade
Terrafin - Dive Burrow / Have You Met My Kids?
Whirlwind - Cloudbursting / Rainbow Rush
Eruptor - Lava Barf / Lava Barf 2 - BARF HARDER!
Gill Grunt - Anchor's Away / Anchor Management!
Stealth Elf - Knife Blender / Surprise, Tiger!
Chop Chop - Shield Skewer / Dice and Slice!
Cynder - Lightning Rain / Skull-Spolsion
When I compared Spyro's first Wow Pow with the second one, Fireslam is much stronger and delivers more damage to surrounding enemies than Head Start that can only attack one specific enemy at a time and is not as devastating. His enlarged horns and tail tip look like he is has trouble supporting their weights until he got the hang of them. Kinda freaky if you ask me.
I love how Trigger Happy rides on his golden rocket more than his Megablaster. Not only is it hilarious to see him riding on it, but it gives him much more speedy mobility and delivers even more damage to enemies.
Terrafin's new Wow Pow makes his old one look so weak. Dive Burrow only allows him to jump out and then dive back into ground right where he first stopped. However, his second Wow Pow could let him summon mini-sharks as well as perform a leap attack that let him continue traveling forward and provides much faster mobility. Also I like his brass claws.
Comparing the diff between Pulse Power and Crystal Comrade, Prism Break's ability to shoot and much deadliest ray of light from his crystal hands was pretty great. Yet his newest ability to turn crystal shards into mini ruby statues of himself is quite compelling. I must say I like both of them.
Whirlwind's newest ability to unleash arches of rainbows from her wings while flying is way more colorful than her Cloudbursting. However, I do miss seeing her unicorn horn glowing in many colors of the rainbow. Even though Series 2 and Polar Whirlwind do have the first Wow Pow, their horns don't light up colorfully anymore in Swap Force.
Eruptor's first Lava Barf allows him to attack at close range while running around. Additional spikes on his head make him look even uglier than before. His second one can suck up to three Lava Balls and then spew them into the air like a volcano. But his aim is way off. He is unable to damage enemies who come too close to him.
Gill Grunt's first Wow Pow is way faster than his second one and it can destroy all surrounding enemies. His second one can only create a brass anchor capable of damaging enemies and creating a whirlpool-like vortex to pull enemies in and destroy them.
Stealth Elf's first Wow Pow is the worst of all, because she could only spin around, which doesn't do much damage. But her second one is the best of all. First, she turns invisible. Then, transforms into a charging illusionary tiger. And lastly, she performs a jump kick that delivers even more damage. This truly shows her ninja persona.
Realizing which of the two different Wow Pows I like better, Chop Chop does well with Shield Skewer allow him to push enemies out of his way. Dice and Slice is way harder to control since he is constantly moving around while slashing both his sword wildly. I never was too crazy for Chop Chop to return as a Series 3 to begin with. I was kinda hoping that Fright Rider would come back instead,
Considering a fan of Cynder, I like both of her Wow Pows; Lightning Rain and Skull-Spolsion. Even though her second Wow Pow is more effective than the first one and can damage enemies within larger areas, I still like how I could conjure up a big lightning bolt to strike down on her and damage nearby enemies.
Some of the new Wow Pows I found out about actually came from the official guidebook. I read the whole thing to make sure which Wow Pow(s) I enjoy more even though the new figures haven't arrive yet.

Gill Grunt's new Wow Pow is significantly better than the old. It's much faster to shoot it - you don't even need to be at full charge. Just hit the other attack button as soon as you begin to charge and it shoots right out. You can even have two of them out at once. It sucks in enemies from a pretty wide range and can even pull stuff down off ledges.

I agree mostly... sadly though the 3DS S3 Wow pow is a little annoying. See you sprit with A thus turning invisible. pressing X will iniciate the tiger mode however, unlike the console version, you can't control the direction and it'll keep giong straight for an extended amount of time. (like the length of the roar and then it again.) Thus you gotta time it right and if you miss you're stuck doing the move to a wall while enemies come to you. though no you can't fall off a platform doing the move. Oh, and I sometimes accidently trigger tiger mode when I'm trying to hit thorn throw... that's more annoying.

Not that big of a fan of Stealth Elf's Series 3 vs Series 2. Now that they have decided to add jumping to the main game her Series 2 makes it easier for crowd control.

They shouldn't have removed the Series 2 Wow-Pows from the Series 3 characters. Also, show some love for Chop Chop! Cynder is a terrible Skylander and I find her quite weak and boring.

Trigger Happy's is not as good. It is funnier, but the old one unlocks the Yamato blast even if you went on the coin path, and it is much faster then the real Yamato.

So far, Head Start only deals with 55% damage while Fireslam that hits the ground does about 135 damage. The fireballs do 50 damage. Also, Chop Chop is a great character and I enjoy his first Wow Pow. And I love Cynder no matter what others say about her.
