I have Free range maxed but I can not get his quest done named Ruffled Feathers He is to powerful to hit anything 25 time because he kills everything in just a few hit. If you know where and how to do this quest please let me know.

How about trying in PvP?

You could try this on a boss, too.

Have you tried it on the training dummys in town? As they said bosses would work and the pvp.

Isn't there some Life Spellpunks/Mages that can restore health?

PvP should work

PvP doesn't work I just Hit crusher like 50+ with out stopping and I never got credit

The Dummies dont work and what boss stays put for 25 hits

I think I remember an arena with a golem being healed by a couple of life spell punks. I don't remember which level it was but I'm almost positive that it took place in the sand arena. You should try there.

Ok so the healing golems didn't work either I hit a golem non stop for over 40 hits and still no quest completion I think this quest is bugged, I have noticed that this game is buggy on the quests, Take the fruit quest for example my free ranger ate over 30 fruits Bananas Water melon Cherrys things like that and I was lucky to get credit on every other 3rd one. it took forever to get that quest done on Free Ranger but Gorilla drilla Got credit for everything thing he ate and got the quest done quickly.

Has anyone completed this quest yet, or do we have another bug?

I personally have this quest marked as completed with Legendary Free Ranger on the PS3. I wasn't specifically "farming" for it, it just happened naturally during the course of the game. (Didn't even know it WAS a quest and that I'd already completed it until I checked just now.)

The specific description is "Hit Enemies 25 times without stopping your melee attacks." Which might mean it doesn't have to necessarily be attacking a single enemy 25 times, you just need to keep a continual chain of strikes going without ever stopping hitting the attack button. You might even be allowed to MISS between attacks, as long as you never stop attacking until you've done damage 25 times.

Oh, so we can do combos with enemies similiar to Batman's chaining melees?

Now THAT'S a game I can't wait for.

This sounds like Roller Brawlers specific challenge, I would have to look more into it. It sounds more like it is saying to hit 25 enemies in 1 go like chompys for example.

I am also having problems finishing this quest. It makes me wonder if it considers the last hit with Gale Slash as melee and an effective end to additional combo chains.

I'd really hate to reset him since it's such a pain to reach level 20.

This quest was pretty easy for me. I did it during the battle with Kaos' mom. One of the waves had a life spell punk and a big, beefy monster to smack around.

I did in the first arena challenge you don't have to string 25 hits in a row you just have to hit enemies 25 times without stopping Just keep mashing the melee attack button do not stop pushing the button until you get it .

Did you have his shockwave finisher when you did this? I've done this with my fully upgraded Free Ranger with no luck.

My L. free ranger was fully leveled when I completed the quest.

So it is just like Roller Brawler. Hers is kill 10 in one go.

I pulled this off with my regular and legendary (on accident with the legendary) with the food thief in the arena battles. They're not level 20 per-say, but you could probably pull it off in the chompies one by just leading chompies then working on the gobble pod cages, then back to the chompies. It's not fool-proof, but it just seems like this personal achievement is one that will more likely happen on accident than on purpose.

It may also be quite easy to pull off if a life spell punk is on screen to heal the enemies so they don't get defeated as quickly.

It doesn't have to be 20 enemies in one go, just hold down the attack button and don't let go until you kill the full amount. It's ok if there is a span where there are no enemies as long as you keep attack held it counts as one attack

To anyone coming across this topic, I can confirm there is definitely a glitch with at least the normal Free Ranger figure not being able to complete the Ruffled Feathers quest.

I have both normal Free Ranger and Legendary Free Ranger. After having them both with all upgrades (normal with Wind Slasher path, Legendary with Storm Focus path), I could not get the Ruffled Feathers quest with my normal figure. After trying it just once with my Legendary figure, it unlocked right away.

I ended up resetting the top half of normal Free Ranger, tried for the quest before buying any upgrades, and it unlocked on the first try.

The problem seems to occur after upgrading a specific attack, similar to Ghost Roaster's quest glitch in Giants.

I haven't leveled up my Free Ranger that much yet compared too Legendary Free Ranger, thanks for letting us know.

I too was having a problem doing this quest. I documented this issue in the Swap Force Quests thread. I was able to do my quest for regular Free Ranger after playing my Legendary Free Ranger.

I did not reset my Free Ranger...it seemed to "unlock" after playing Legendary Free Ranger (and doing the quest) and then removing my hat from regular Free Ranger.

I thought the kink was the hat being on regular Free Ranger...but our similarities is that we both played LFR. Need to confirm if it's the hat or the use of Legendary.

My Free Ranger did in fact have all of its upgrades.

^ That's how I did it. I've reset the top half multiple times, and always managed to complete this quest by smacking someone and then just continually spamming the attack regardless of if the follow-ups connect.

Maybe it does have to do with the quest not unlocking if regular Free Ranger is wearing a hat. I was using the Volcano Hat at the time when I couldn't get it to work. After I reset it and tried it again I probably didn't have a hat on when it did work.

Oh well, if anyone comes across this again try to remove any hat first before resetting!

Except in my case I didn't have to do that by simply unlocking it at LFR and going back to Free Ranger. This one sounds a bit flaky. I'll use my LFR and upgrade until the quest breaks and I'll be back.

Which path are you guys down? Blade or storm-eyes? I went down the storm-eye path and never had an issue with it, but I don't remember if I completed the Quest before or after fully upgrading him.

Glitch happened to me when on the blade path using regular Free Ranger. I had the storm eyes path for Legendary Free Ranger, but the quest unlocked fine.

It seems this is only affecting regular Free Ranger though as no one has reported any issues with Legendary Free Ranger.

I was also using the blade path on my normal Free Ranger. As I said I don't have legendary, so I can't contribute any data on that front.

My regular Free Ranger was fully upgraded when I completed the quest also I had it on the Wind Slasher path. I was not wearing a hat when completing the quest and completed it in the angry angry plants survival arena. My Free Ranger came from the 3DS starter pack so I don't know if that might be a reason it did not experience this glitch.
