If anyone else is still having issues or worry with this then head to ToysRUs and have them do a refund re-bill. We took care of it at mine and it should now show up with today's date. You do not need to bring back the toys to do so, just the receipt.

There is no code...YOU have to spend the $100 total the get the voucher to go pick up the Special Edition Gill Grunt when they get them in.

Yup.

I did spend a $100 at TRU. Though it shows up on the 12th, not 13th. My guess is for the midnight opening, they didnt close out the registers for the day on the 12th, so all purchases count towards that day when they did finally close them out.

Anybody have luck sorting this out with TRU yet?

I had the same issue, luckily since wave 2 came out yesterday it's a moot point. Spent over $100 yesterday as well so I more than qualify.

I just want to be sure from someone who clearly understands the rules of this TRU offer: The $100 does not have to be made all in one purchase? Within the past few days, I have made enough purchases so that they all total together to a pre-tax amount over $100. I have not, however, spent $100 at any one trip. I just want to make sure that with my three trips that now total over the $100 requirement that I now qualify for the Gill Grunt.

Nevermind the refund re-bill idea. Instead of fixing itself the TRU site is too incompetent to handle it, it's now showing it as a $0.00 purchase, even with all the items purchased listed. I think the site is only going to count "new money" so it's not ringing up the re-bill as the $100+ spent. Guess I'll be trying again on the phone tomorrow. I hope I can get lucky like you Gooch and find someone helpful, my last person gave me a "my system crashed" excuse and never called me back.

I didn't get Sandy's extension but maybe you could ask for her by name? She is familiar with the situation at least and you shouldn't have to talk around in circles explaining yourself.

My problem is my boyfriend and I each used our Rewards cards, different member numbers showing on differ receipts but when I log in to rewards site, they're both under my one card. How in the world does that happen?! So I'm going to drive the 2 hours there Sat and have them do a refund/re bill and put the second transaction into my boyfriends Rewards card.

Maybe since this will be the 'first' time for it to be on his card, it will actually work? Like, with yours, you have it redone onto the same card. Make sense?

This is insanely poor planning on their part!!

I contacted ToysRUs to confirm if the cumulative $100 in purchases applies to both in-store and online purchases. I was told that as long as it shows up in your purchases on your Rewards R Us account, it will apply, again both in-store and online purchases. My in-store and online purchases put me over the $100 mark. The rep confirmed my Rewards R Us account and said that I will receive an email with the coupon for the Special Gill Grunt figure, some time after the first of the year.

If you are a Rewards R Us member, your online Skylanders purchases will apply to your cumulative $100 to get the Gill Grunt figure. Confirmed with Toys R Us this morning. Good luck and happy shopping!

I called Toys R Us again and asked that very question. The rep told me that the voucher/coupon would need to be redeemed in-store and most likely, since it is a special figure, will not be available for shipping. I hope he is wrong, but we may not know the whole story until the emails hit our in boxes. Good luck, I hope you and others in your situation are able to get the figure!

Hmm i'd call tru.com and ask about that and see what they say, you prob will be forced to visit a store sadly thou Id call the store and explain where your coming from and ask them to hold one for you.

As for the oct 12th issue going to head to TRu about redoing our orders to change the date, just waiting till i get payed so i can pay off my tru card as if i do the return and refund I think it will decline the card.

I sure they will have no problem holding it for you till you get there, especially when you tell them where your coming from.

Last figures I ordered from Toys R Us they shipping in a bubble envelope... 2 figures... of course they both arrived with packaging crushed.

So as I stated earlier, my starter purchase is showing up in my account as $0.00. I need this purchase to count towards the total so I have called numerous times about getting fixed. And after two weeks, still not fixed. I was given $10 in rewards certificates, though. According to the rep I talked to, this figure will be released in store in January and you will receive a coupon to get it. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I still have many calls to make to resolve my issue.

yeah the rewards are based on qualifying purchases from 9/8 to 10/31. $10 does not seem right if you purchased a starter set and figures on release day

If this is the way they do it (without, say, a week timeframe for coupon-holders to get first crack at them), I hope they are available in large numbers. I've never been concerned about rarity or exclusivity as much as I have just allowing everyone to get their hands on one.

I'm not talking about rewards balance, I'm talking about the actual purchase under "My purchases" tab. I spent $45 on the starter, yet it shows I spent $0. The $10 in rewards they gave me for free for all the inconvenience.

It was given away to managers at the Gamestop Expo back in September, it was given away already in France as part of a contest, and they gave out a bunch to attendees of the Gamestop Expo in Australia.

I called customer support again and the guy I spoke with opened a separate case for me and put in the system that he has guaranteed me a voucher to cover the cost of the figure when it releases or they will ship me one free of charge.

I've called TRU customer service like eight times since October 13, trying to get my Rewards information fixed. I forgot to use my card when I bought the starter pack because I got so wrapped up in trying to get them to use all the coupons. They told me to go online and get a retro credit for the purchase using the receipt info. But after I did that, the starter pack should have been showing up as $48.99 but was only counted as $4.44, so I called them to get it fixed.

Long story short, after half a dozen phone calls and a few e-mails, they finally said, we can't get it fixed, take a $10 coupon to cover the lost 10% credit you should get. So I said, what about the Green Gill Grunt figure, I'm over $100 cumulative but it's only showing me with like $59. She said well you can just go to the store and show them your receipt and they can pull up your rewards balance. So I say, uh, won't they just send me back to you. So she says okay we'll send you a GC so you can buy the figure. That was two weeks ago, still no GC. I called again today and this lady said oh no, we're not giving you a GC, the promotion isn't over, and anyway, she said, the $100 has to be in a single purchase, not cumulative! So I am super pissed.

You preordered with TRU, right? I have the same issue with both of the starter packs that I bought at launch but I haven't followed up on it since I'm well over $100 on two accounts. What I think the issue is is when I look at the receipt details they both list "Payment on order XXXX" instead of the starter pack. It looks like their system considers the preorder date to be the "purchase date" and that you're only paying it off on 10/13. Not sure if that helps at all but maybe it'll get you somewhere.

Heads up - I've been in contact with TRU customer service for some time, as there was some issue with my rewards as well.

I've (finally) been speaking with someone who seemed very knowledgeable and was able to fix EVERYTHING on my account. I mentioned making sure that I was going to be eligible for the Gill Grunt and... things got a little hairy. At first, the awesome rep was all "Oh! You should have gotten that in the store! We'll mail you one out!" and I was all "Oh... they made it sound like I'd get a coupon awarded to my rewards account...", then the rep was all "Oh! That's right... nevermind."

Translation... No one knows anything, even the awesome reps. smilie

I'm having the same problem with the starter having the "Payment on XXXXX" on my account. I've called numerous times and have had many different responses.

Call 1: Attempted Retro credit. Didn't work.
Call 2: Another retro credit. Didn't work.
Call 3: Transferred to someone who most likely just did another retro credit. Issued $5 certificate.
Call 4: Told my case would go to the Rewards dept. because they can do more. Never got a call. Issued $10 certificate.
Call 5: Told case was put in the wrong que and I would receive a call. No call.
Call 6: Placed in que as "Urgent". Still no call.
Call 7: Retro credit, told to wait 3-5 days. Didn't work, but guaranteed a figure. We'll see what haopens with that.

I'm to the point that I just ask for a supervisor once someone answers. All in all, I've been issued $20 in certificates, but the problem still isnt fixed.

If you need Customer Service - Ask for assistance on Facebook. Can't promise it'll work for you, but did wonders for me after repeated calls and being told I'd hear back and never hearing anything. smilie They fixed issues for me I didn't even know I had. smilie

Yeah, I got in touch through FB about the extra figure I was supposed to get with my pre-order, and they sent me a GC to buy one. smilie But somehow that got added into the case where I'm trying to get my rewards credit fixed and make sure I get GGG, and the people on the phone keep saying, "you were already sent a GC for the Skylanders figure" and I'm like, no, that's something different. These guys can't even keep all their own promotions straight. I've had to re-explain this shtuff many many times now and it's getting old. But yeah, I'm probably going to complain on FB and say one of your employees promised me compensation and another told me to pound sand. I just want a guarantee, like czs716 got, that they'll send me the voucher for GGG in January.
