Alt Deco Character Disappointment [CLOSED]

Hello all. I just wanted to share some information about Swap Force Alt Deco characters (Legendaries, Nitros, etc.). Unlike in Giants (minus Royal Double Trouble), Alt Deco characters in Swap Force have identical stats to their 'standard' version counterparts. Yep, even the Legendaries from TRU that were advertised as being "more powerful". I just wanted to get the word out for those that were seeking these characters for any kind of numerical advantage in PvP or Story modes. Sorry for the bad news. :/

They are really screwing up this time...wowzers.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.

Didn't Dark Spyro have the Crit Hit boost in SSA or something like that?

@GhostRoaster - I agree. If anything, they shouldn't make false advertisements/claims. Maybe TRU came up with it all by themselves, but still...

@jet-vac6000 - I never had a green based Dark Spyro, but I thought there was some kind of stat difference between him and the regular one (higher in one stat, but lower in another).

While I still do enjoy in-game variants still to some degree, overall this is a bit of a disappointment. I think these changes will shrink the desire/demand for these figures in the long run. I'm debating taking back my Legendary Free Ranger for these (amongst other) reasons.

Unfortunate, but at least now I don't need to bother picking between LLC and LC Grim Creeper

If you're referring to those non-game related numbers on the character pages/on the cards that come with them, you're correct. I'm actually talking about the in-game stats for the characters. I did a comparison of both regular and Alt Deco variants on: Magna Charge, Lightcore Grim Creeper, Free Ranger, and Hoot Loop. All had identical numbers for core stats. If you've had an in-game experience different from mine, please advise.

Say, do older variants still have their unique stats?

The only other ones I could check would be Legendary Stealth Elf vs Dark (Ninja) Stealth Elf, and Legendary (LC) Chill vs Blizzard Chill. I'll do so later on today, and post the results.

Just checked Chop Chop vs. Legendary, Legendary has higher Armor and double Crit. Spryo vs Dark Spyro (both S1), Dark has higher elemental power. So the older differences did remain.

This is why I keep asking people if they want to help with getting level 1 stats for Swap Force. I can't do a lot of it as mine go into it at level 15 with complete quests from Giants, so not resetting figures to do it.

I'm not so sure which Alt Deco figure(s) disappoint me. But if it had to be some, I guess the ones are as followed:

Legendary Stealth Elf
L-Spyro
L-Bash
L-Trigger Happy
Punch Pop Fizz
L-Jet-Vac
Nitro Freeze Blade

I thought I read in one of the interviews that Alt Deco Character have the same base stats (in this game) but get different stats as the level up.

I never looked at the stats, just as a way of having both upgrade paths.

It sounds like the marketing guys forgot to tell the guys coding the chips the new stat numbers. If they can't pay attention to details like this they may as well end this now because it's only going to get worse.

The cards were brought up at one point, that they are for fun purposes. The real stats require playing the game and having the figures.

Just checked with Hoot Loop and his Enchanted counterpart: no difference as they leveled up.

With that said, taking stats out of the picture, the alt decos...actually feel better than their originals. In the other topic I posted you can use Trig's, Eruptor's, Dark Spyro's and Dark Stealth Elf's to give you a series 3 option while having unique looking toys on the shelf (with Dark Spyro technically fitting as a series 2 version of the original Dark Spyro). And we're going to need Bumble Blast's and Countdown's in order to get their unique hats. All in all the only ones I'm not feeling color wise in any way are Dark Wash Buckler, Dark Slobber Tooth, and Legendary Lightcore Grim Creeper.

Can't speak about Legendary Free Ranger yet, he's yet to arrive. Quickstrike's definitely going to replace his main counterpart once I get him though :3

....AAAAND sorry for the double post but it looks like there might be an exception! Dark Slobber Tooth: his elemental power is higher than his original counterpart by 10. Rather strange if he's the only exception out of all of them...

It is...I should have a regular Spyro by monday to compare Dark Spyro S3. Can someone do me a favor and post Ninja Stealth Elf's base stats? I have my Dark one still but kinda shipped NSE to her new home before I could compare...

It'd be rather amusing if only the swappers had the same stats as their alter-egos ultimately.

If this is all true than it makes a Dark Spyro S1 better than a Dark Spyro S3. The irony, they said they were going to reward those that had the older games some kind of thank you, it seems owning the figures seems to be it now.

Going into this, Nitro Magna Charge is, or was suppose to be the fastest Skylander in Swap Force.

According to the official Swap Force guide book, Nitro Freeze Blade will appear. I checked out his golden-yellow outfit. I don't mean to sound disgusting, but it looks like someone peed on him much like peeing in the snow.

Bit of a bumb, but still looking for the base state values for Ninja Stealth Elf and Lightcore Grim Creeper. The originals, not the variants. I'm guessing someone has them handy and not leveled up, yes?

EDIT: Just confirmed that LC Grim Creeper isn't different at all from vanilla, save for color and terrible lightcore effect. Well that's another that bites the dust!
