Signage said you get a free Gilly if you spend over $100, is there. Coupon or something that prints out? I just looked at the receipt and don't see anything. Super weird

In mid Jan you will get a coupon in the mail if you spent $100 on skylander stuff, you then bring it in to your local store and use it to get gill grunt. There other threads for this in the toys/merch section.

The purchases are tied to your TRU rewards card. $100 can be cumulative.

For rewards members only: Free Special Edition Gill Grunt figure with total Swap Force purchase of $100 or more.($100 does not need to be purchased at one time) Expires 12/31/13.

Gill Grunt coupon will be emailed by 1/18/14 and expires 1/31/14

There have been several threads about this and additional references to this Gill Grunt promotion in even more recent threads across the boards here.

I'm gonna post this, with the hope that the next person who is thinking about posting a question about this promotion will actually see and read it, and then not post said question ...

Toys R Us Special Gill Grunt promotion:

1. You must be signed-up as a Toys R Us "Rewards" member. If you're not signed up, no Gill Grunt for you.

2. You must purchase minimum $100 worth of Skylanders stuff (after discounts, not including taxes paid) at Toys R Us, between 10/13/13 and 12/31/13. If you buy $95 worth of Skylanders stuff, and then cross your fingers that the sales taxes you paid will put you over the $100 threshold, then you're going to be disappointed.

3. The purchases CAN be made across multiple visits to Toys R Us, as long as they are between the dates above. Purchases made in January 2014 will not count.

4. You must provide your TRU Rewards card at the register/check-out for every purchase that you want to count towards the $100 minimum. Forgot your card? Have the staff/cashier enter your Rewards number using the phone number associated with your Rewards account.

5. If you meet the above criteria, TRU will send you an email voucher for the special promotion Gill Grunt, sometime in early/mid January 2014. The email will be sent to the email address associated with your Rewards account. So, when you sign up for Rewards, don't use a junk email account or an email account that you never check.

6. The voucher will be redeemable for the special Gill Grunt figure during a window in late January 2014. Supplies will be limited and you are not guaranteed to get one, so don't wait until the last day of the window.

7. One per household.
