Almost every store I went to today had problems or just didn't have characters out. Walmart had NOTHING on stock apparently they forgot and the guy had to go search through the pallets in the back to find my Enchanted Hoot Loop. Toys R Us had no displays out and did not want to give out Lightcore Hex to some of the customers. My Best Buy was not ready when the store opened, they lost my pre-order, and also refused to give me my Lightcore Hex. They told me that my Hex was recalled and could not give it to me so I had to wait for 35 minutes while the guy tried to figure out if they could give me the Hex as part of my pre-order like they were supposed to.

Anyone else find any issues today while shopping?

None here. Toys 'R Us had lots of stock out, including a special display area. Target didn't have any extra display room, but they had everything available & had extras behind the Electronics counter to keep it stocked up. GameStop I didn't pay much attention to figure-wise, but they definitely had lots of copies of the Dark Edition on hand behind the counter.

My local TRU had no Lightcore hexes!

All of my local stores were quite prepared. Lots of stuff everywhere. It was madness.

My Toysrus express didn't have their stuff out, however they opened late to put it all out. They also didn't have any of the legendaries, which they normally do, and was the only reason I went.My Gamestop, on the other hand, was awesome. I'm friends with my Gamestop employees, even the manager lol. Prior to release, I went in to ask a few questions about release day. A few seconds later the manager out of the blue asks me which figures I want. I told her and she held every figure I asked, picked them up today and have been having a blast

I'm pretty sure you're going to get responses along the entire spectrum. My personal experience is that it was somewhat disorganized.

Both stores I went to were just fine. Target had both Nitro packs out, Tower of Time, and plenty of other figures. GameStop also had a nice assortment set up.

It depends on the walmart in your state. While a lot of people said Walmart had a midnight sale, mine did not.

Two Walmarts in my area had nothing out and knew nothing about them. One of them didnt even have the enchanted hoot loop. Went to target and everything was out and ready to go. The guy in charge of the electronics there stays on top of things, so they will get my skylanders business from now on. F walmart.

The same thing happened to me last year with Giants.
They only had the Giants on the shelfes and didnt knew anything about Cores.

My Walmart was the same thing. Nothing. Nowhere. Had to ask a lady in the back to bring them out.. returned with a TON of boxes and I got the chance to open them all up and sort though. Disappointing they weren't prepared for it but I was happy to be peeking first!

TRU at midnight was super organized. Only let so many people in at a time so there wasn't chaos. But they had a TON, so everyone got what they wanted. They did limit people to two of the same figure per person, 1 if legendary. This was after some selfish scalping jerk that was one of the first 5 people literally tried to clear the shelves. The employees were having none of that and stopped him. They also had checklists and were helping everyone find what they wanted. Their prices may be higher, but at my store at least you can't beat them for quantity and helpfulness.

Every Store in my area was prepared loved it not one problem and I got to go I. 30 minutes early at TRU got to help employes at target & Walmart open and sort through figures . And meet lots of new skylander collectors and their kids very impressed with swap force release !!!!

My walmart had everything including EHL but the demo wasn't there, I assume they were working on it but got lazy.

They may not be getting the demo, we aren't up in Malone apparently. EHL sold out FAST at the store too...barely managed to snag one that had fallen under the shelf.

My GameStop didn't have any Swap Force characters set up, but they had a few of the characters behind the register. My Target however had lots of everyone and there were so many most of them were stacked on top of each other, I got everyone I needed for day 1.

Toysrus In Massapequa, NY was very well prepared, ppl came out 40min prior to say hi and answer questions etc. Def going to this tru more as they know how to run their store and don't overcharge. Skylanders were at the front of the store ppl were civil, no one complaining etc. Coupons and such worked fine on starters.
Walmart A: stuff out, enchanted hoot nobody knew of could have sold by the time I got there at 11.
Walmart B: held one for us, good ppl/
Walmart C: Had 12 of EHL and full setup of swap force, looked like no one bought a single one and it was after 12pm

Tru in Carle Place: Use to be my store for toysrus but lately they been upmarking items. legendary free ranger was 19.99 along with other guys being 18.99 refused to price match online and give 40% off deal one or other. Left and went to another store. use to be only valley stream that did this by me, now they are.

Target: went in and was out in 10min. got the nitro packs (3 of each set) and left. Going figure out when i finally get home to look thru all my stuff what I'm keeping and returning. More then likely going with free ranger and nitro as son picked rattle and nitro, figure with the 3ds game we got last night we will pick the other out of that and idk what im doing with volcanic yet.

TRU near me (Cary, NC) was GREAT. Mucho credit to them and their staff (handled SWAP Force and Disney Infinity at the same time and well, mostly informed, etc - though there were D.I> hiccups - but that's to be expected as it wsa really a SWAP Force day.

Walmart near me was terrible, with the staff not even knowing that they were supposed to put stuff out. In the back, all they claimed to have was the game with no figures (roll eyes).

Target was adequate, but due to pricing, the ONLY reason to go their was Nitro Magna Charge.

Apparently Walgreens was/is selling the SWAP characters for $11, but I havne't validated that yet, maybe tonight I'll go check them out.

I woke up at 2:30am on Sunday and decided that since I was awake I would go to the Walmart that is 5 minutes away and get everything I wanted so I wouldn't have to scramble in the morning. I got there and the Swap Force section was completely empty, I grabbed an employee and he said "There must have been a reason that took it all down, so I cannot sell you anything". I told him that it wasn't taken down but hadn't been put up yet....he disagreed. He said the manager would be back at 7am and I should come back then and talk to him. Very nice Walmart!!

This was the same store that spent 15 minutes trying to find Pokemon X/Y on Saturday morning. The Pokemon rep was there and freaking out on the employees for handling a big launch in such an incompetent way. So 15 minutes later the manager called the overnight guy at home (Waking him up) and finding out that he had left them in the kiosk at self checkout...because who wouldn't think to look there?

So I went to the next closest, (another 10 minutes) and they hadn't even taken down the SG section but the guy stocking the department was more than happy to open all the boxes and allow me to pick through and get whatever I wanted.

My gamestop had the whole wave except pop thorn (And any triple packs )

They litterally shoved everything Disney Infinity related off and put up everything swap force.

My only launch day gripe was with Walmart. I drove to two different 24-hour stores only to find that they had no stock on the floor, and claimed to have no stock even in the back. Went to my local store the following morning to find yet another barren display. Thankfully I only need Enchanted Hoot Loop from them, but still. I'm glad I pre-ordered one online. Hopefully it will ship more sooner than later. :/

Went to 2 walmarts yesterday, 1 24hr store which I went to at 1230 or so and a non 24hr store which I went to around 1030am. Neither store had anything on the shelves and the employees seemed clueless as to what I was asking for.

The TRU near me was working feverishly to get the display up before the midnight release but when the time came they had plenty. I was disappointed in Target though, later that morning I went to get Nitro and they had nothing on the floor. Had to wait 45 minutes for them to find them in the back but nonetheless I ended up with everything I wanted

Went to 3 different stores. Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart.

Target was restocking when I went in to get Nitro.

Wal-Mart had some SSA, Giants and SF all out. Picked up Enchanted Hoop

Best buy, as I posted before was a cluster. No idea on pre-orders, no LC Hex. They had some SF but it looks like someone went and bought them all. We got their as the store opened and they didn't have a midnight opening. So I wonder if they had put them out the day before. They did have 2 pumpkin eye-brawl that I saw.

Everywhere but Walmart was good for me.

The Walmart I bought it from had NO SWAP Force Figures, only Starter Packs. All they had were Disney Infinity toys and Giants Figures.

That was totally unprepared.

My Wal-Mart was PACKED with swap force. Guess I must've gotten lucky.

Reading on this board, Wal-Marts varied in preparedness. I went to two different Wal-Marts. One didn't have spaced cleared for SF or anything out on the floor. I talked to the person in the electronics section and she had no idea. The other Wal-Mart was fully stocked. The Wal-Marts will catch up, but that is little conciliation for people hunting on launch day.

my damn target didn't have anything, just a few packs, barely and singles, no adventure packs, little battle packs, so little light cores and like 14 nitro magna charge packs. i had to wait 10 minutes before i got my lightcore because they forgot, the were totally unprepared, and they lost my pre-order card, so he was searching and just quit just giving me someone Else's Wii pre-order card. i was looking for everything, i even packed 2 s 1 lightcore left, got it. and they were probably waiting for scalpers to leave, man... even the gamestop at the mall was perfectly prepared!

A nearby Gamestop has multiples of nearly all characters in Wave 1! I'm so proud of them...

I also was told by Best Buy that Hex was recalled and they had them in the back but couldn't give them out to the pre-order customers like me, even though earlier Sunday I went to the local Target and they had 8+ out on the pegs. BB was nice and gave me a different Lightcore figure in Hex's place. I searched online for 2 days and saw no mention of the recall anywhere, and when I went back to BB today, they had at least a dozen Lightcore Hex stocked with all the other figures. Strange happenings for sure, but since I had Hex from previous games, I was satisfied to get a new Swap Force lightcore in her place.

Incidentally, I just received an email from Toys R Us that tomorrow morning they will have Grilla Drilla, Boom Jet and Fire Kraken and 10 other new Swap Force figures. Here's hoping.

just went to walmart near my house and they had no skylanders out. So i asked about them and they said they were still waiting for part of the shipment and was told that nothing could be put out until they had complete shipment. They had even pulled all the SA and Giants figures too.

Only popped by the WalMart and Gamestop on launch day. GameStop had a lot of Giants stuff on the shelfs still, so only a couple things were hanging. They of course had more out back. LC Hex figurines and posters a-plently on the open space at the register table. I'd assume they probably had a ton more out back (for having little showroom, their stock was huge, almost as big as the store itself.)

WalMart had a pdq quad out in front of electronics with everything swap force there. Plentiful stock (for once), but no Enchanted Hoot Loop. We still had a ton (literally, a ton) of Giants stuff, so the display areas in electronics and toys were zoned to have the correct characters on the correct hanging shelves, but otherwise it was only giants stuff (and the couple of SSA figurines that appeared out of nowhere...that Drobot is going to be hanging for months)...

I did sneak by the Target a few days before launch...The planogram was set for swap force, but nothing was out...except the LC Hex figurines (they even had their own tags), and what little giants stuff they still had.

They also had a lot of LC Hex's on the shelves. (Since I'm only stopping by in this area, I guess I can say the location) This was somewhere in the New Albany, Mississippi area.

My local store in the Netherlands was not prepared either. Waited for the store opening this morning and they only had the pre order starter packs available.
They had cleared a section for swap force but had not stocked it in advance. I didn't have time to wait around and they were not willing to get some from the back.
So I left with only the Dark Edition starter pack and lightcore Hex.

I'm From Ireland, I Pre-Ordered the Dark edition at my local Gamestop(with the lightcore Hex), got no HEX, need to go back during the week, apparently the problem is with activision.
Went to my local Tesco Extra they were just putting stock on the shelves and had no clue about Nitro, and never even stocked anything to do with Disney Infinity. But yeah all around i think they (the retailers) dropped the ball on this one. Considering it's been out in the states for a while now.

The Walmart I work at had a great amount of figures, triple packs and adventure/battle packs ready to go on launch day.

They had an end cap full of Swap Force figures, with the existing Giants and Infinity displays nearby.

Their failure was starter packs though. They had a large quantity of Giants starter packs, a couple of Spyro's Adventures starter packs and precisely TWO 3DS Swap Force starter packs - no others.
