Plus, technically the Skylanders coupon shows the Giants starter pack. So I don't believe that applies to the Swap Force.

It does apply to Swap Force. Multiple points here. That 20% off coupon was advised by a TRU employee to use on Swap Force. If it was only for Giants it was say so. Also along that same logic you couldn't use the coupon on SSA and that would be all kinds of dumb. So to sum up the coupon is viable for Swap Force.

Have family at Toysrus, they were told it will be the B1G40% off.

That's regular-priced. So I've seen it before where they were on sales by 3 cents. But 3 cents is not regular priced, so it wasn't valid.

One thing i just thought of. The B1G140% off is going to take it off the lowest price. So if you got the game with a skylander character it would take the 40% off the character. However the 20% off coupon above states its not valid with other offers. That will also probably conflict. But what you may be able to do is buy the game by itself so that you dont qualify for the 40% offer, then use your frito lay coupon for the $10.00 off. Hence $10.00 off with 20% off?

With respect, I hope you talked to a good employee. At the TRU I work at we are starting to get a lot of seasonal hires who just agree to anything they're asked. Personally I think the Manufacturer Coupon would negate the 20% coupon as it would, in theory, no longer be regular priced, but I have been wrong many times before. We won't have a definite answer until someone can ring it up. Coupons are a fickle thing in retail, so unreliable.

Yeah it could swing either way. But im pretty sure the 20% and the buy one get one 40% off arent going to stack. So if none of them stack together your best bet is the 20% off, thats $15.00 off, versus $10.00 off, or the B1g140% off which isnt going to take it off the game at all.

She has been working in electronics since 2009 and a heavy coupon user herself...I'm confidant. If it doesn't work TRU will have a lot of pissed off people that will feel taken advantage of. TRU policy is to take one TRU coupon and one manufacturer coupon regardless of the coupon.

it can be used for swap force on tru website it even says theres coupons available for the figures, when you click on the view coupons it takes you to the page that has been posted here with the coupon

Did anyone else here pre-order from TRU when they were doing the specials offering a second free figure on top of the LC Hex? When I went in to get the starter pack, first they told me the figure could only be from Giants, not Swap Force. Then after I used the 20% coupon they said I couldn't have the second free figure. To me, that doesn't make sense, because the pre-order deal was for two figures. Why did they give me one and not the other? Just wondering if anyone else successfully combined those.

My receipt says my Hex was $2 as well as my free figure. They way they discount stuff though it's always a pain to figure it out. I wasn't going to figure it out at midnight other than making sure the 20% off worked.

They too said it was only for Giants...and I said..."it does not state that"...so they took it off my card after the fact. Others have indicated it worked like a champ. I'm not sure what's going on.

I had zero issues with mine. I also got L.C. Hex without issue as well. So $50 plus tax out the door.

We originally pre-ordered the standard Wii U starter in June (before they announced the Dark Edition) with $1 deposit

My son lost the sales receipt so I just had the email with order number.

I never got the email for the free character $10.99 or less and we pre-ordered the Dark Edition at Gamestop after it was announced. So I was going to just let the pre-order expire and stick with the Dark Edition but I thought if I could get the free figure and an extra LC Hex and use the 20% off coupon and the frito lay $10 off coupon then exchange the Wii U starter for the 3DS version it'd be a good deal (and more money towards the Gill Grunt exclusive).

I did not expect the cashier and manager to go for it... but they did!

The order number didn't show up in their system so the cashier asked me which version I wanted and so I said the 3DS version (saved me from having to exchange the Wii U version I had originally ordered) and she gave me the free character $10.99 or less, she used another customer's coupon that had already been redeemed (I picked Zoo Lou) and a Light Core Hex free.

I then gave her the 20% off coupon and the $10 off coupon which she had to manually overide the price. Total of $49.20 so add the original $1 for the pre-order that brings me to $50.20 and if you subtract $10.99 the cost of Zoo Lou (which I was going to buy anyway) that brings it to $39.21 and then if I sell the extra LC Hex for $10 I'll be just under $30 for the 3DS starter.

The Toys R Us employees were very helpful and really tried to give me the best deal possible. I'm sure they'll get more of my money soon >.<

Yeah, the TRU people really did their best to not help me get the deal. I've heard a few people got the entire deal, and I'm contacting corporate to try to get a voucher or coupon for a free figure now.

Some stores had no idea about the 2nd figure I actually showed them it when they came outside as I only got my coupon for my wii u copy and not the rest. Luckily the woman that signed my preorder about this extra figure in june remembered doing so when i showed her and it acutally helped alot of other ppl out cause they now ahd my coupeon to know waht to enter and the ad i printed off another thread on here. Ppl were thanking me cuase of it and i told them i got the info from here and told them of this forum, so maybe a few ppl will join, thou who knows lol.
