Which system will be better? Xbox360 or PS3? I have it preorder for the Xbox but after looking at some articles I am wondering if the PS3 is a better version.

Thanks

It's a multi-plat game, it won't be any different on the two systems.

I own all the consoles, but personal preference is generally the PS3....my imagination or are the graphics crisper? I don't use an HDMI for my 360 though, so that might be the difference.

Honestly I've thought that too. I like both systems but my PS3 is a bit sharper. I may change my preorder.

I do have a Wii U but I barely use it. I think the last time I turned it on was March or April.

360 and PS3 will be very similar. I personally prefer the 360 for multiplatform games (I also have both) because I like the controller better (personal preference). The days of vast differences (Bayonetta) are pretty much gone now that dev kits are fully mature (although things like Skyrim having problems on the PS3 do happen). Let's face it, while Swap Force is going to be a great deal prettier now that the lead platform is not the Wii, it still is a far cry from pushing the hardware.

I'm going with the WiiU, simply because I like the system and my son likes to play games on it. Had I not had that option, it would have been the 360 (which I had for the first two). If I find it down the road for really cheap and want to get a non-Dark Starter (BIG if), I will get the 360 one as well. Again, because the controller.

I have the Dark pre-order on Xbox360. Never noticed a significant difference in quality on PS3/Xbox360, some yes, but nothing to complain about. Now if you through a regular Wii into the mix.... whoa don't even want to go back.

Differentiation for me tends to be along game selection. XBox 360 is the main console in our house, it also makes a great media center if you have a windows/samba network. The computer media center has more features, but the Xbox360 can get you going on a movie or digital video with no fuss. Also, it can use a universal remote or Xbox360 controller, better than even my keyboard/mouse combo pad for the computer. It have even replaced our DVD player.

This may be one of the few times I"m kicking myself for going Wii-U rather than PS3. Though it has given me an idea. Since I want titles my kids won't be playing, I may decide the PS3 goes in my 'office' and leave the Wii-U out there. My friends have the PS3, and while a tad better, it does not make up for media center.

Love a lot of things about the Wii-U, being able to play games remotely is awesome. Though I think they made the tablet just a tad too wide (dimensions not screen), and really, they are sitting on the best portable gaming system and they don't know it! As for game recommendations, if you can have 4 players, Tank! Tank! Tank! offers lots of fun. They are taking a Giants and Infinity break since we picked that one up. Simplicity at its finest.

Would love a PS4 and from the videos of Swap Force on the PS4 it really knocks the socks off of everything else. Just not in the budget this year.

I only have the PS3 but I believe the PS3 version is simply a 360 port as is usually the case for cross platform games.

I believe the PS3 is way better than the Xbox 360, but I am more of a Nintendo person. So that's why I am getting the Wii U. The original Wii is now considered obsolete.

You guys do know this isn't a system fanboy question, she already has both a PS3 and a 360, right? It isn't going to cause or deny the success of your own system. I simply don't get how people can say one is "way better" than the other. The games, minus a few well documented examples that is usually unrelated to hardware, are virtually identical. I can literally say my choice on most multiplat games is related to one controller fitting my hand better than the other or something equally trivial.

Neither Sony nor MS is going to send you a gift basket for supporting them, nor is either going to fail - they both want the same thing, your money and as much of it as possible.

Both are pretty much the same I suggest getting whichever consoles control pad you prefer

I know the Wii U version of Giants ran at a higher native resolution (1080p). Maybe SSF will also be like that.

I get a lot of my games PS3 including skylanders. Ive never really paid attention to how clear the picture comes out in games. I enjoyed it on ps3. I don't fancy wii controls so I don't get games for it unless its exclusive. 360 as well. I was planing on getting the regular swap force starter pack for Wii U. Is the wii u worth getting? And I don't mean because of great picture quality.

Giants only ran native 1080p on the Wii U because it was made using VV's engine. Since SSF is being made in the same engine, it is native 1080p on PS3, 360, Wii U, PS4 and XBO.

PS3 is MY preference, but I'm getting the Dark for 360 and the regular on PS3 so my household has both options.

I will be playing it on PS3; my sons on 360. We have Wii as well but my son is finally getting why it would be a bad idea on this game.

Yeah, if you have an option other than the Wii for Swap Force, you definitely want to do that. The Wii version is a downgraded port this time. But beyond that, it is really dealer's choice for the other three.

Like I said, WiiU for us - our WiiU is my son's first system that really is his. The 360, Wii and PS3 were all acquired when he was really too young to play games. But, he got the WiiU for Christmas last year so when I get a game for him, I always go WiiU if there is an option.

Thanks to everyone for posting their thoughts, I think I may stick with the Xbox version. I am worried if I cancel it this late in the game and switch to ps3 something will get screwed up and I won't get my LC Hex or something. Both the systems are in my living room so its no worry there, they are easy to get at.

Yep you're right definitely not a fanboy (or in my case fangirl) question smilie

I do have a ps3 and an Xbox , a 3DS and the Wii U as well I like each one for various reasons, they are all good systems. Was just curious if one ran the game better than the other. Sounds like they are virtually the same for the most part. Now just waiting for the ps4 to arrive soon!

I personally like the wii u for my son too as we got it too last xmas and he loves the fact that he can play the game on the tablet or on the tv if mom or dad is using the tv. I myself enjoy this as at time i enjoy playing it like a gameboy/3ds instead of a concole game. It is really a cool concept.
