I think it's ok to post my blog posts when I find something myself smilie But, of course I will name my source: Gamestop Germany updated the site just a few hours ago and I was browsing their site just then.

Um ok then. Not to sound rude but what the heck? Where I. The world did you get this from. It would really be odd if Activision did this but I could see if they redid a few more. Also if this is true then I'm going to guess 24 reposes. Because I understand marketing and if it was anymore than 25 they would put 25+.


This is from the official activision brochure that was with the display unit in store shown above.

It states

16 swap force
16 new characters
8 Lightcore
20 returning skylanders
2 battle packs
2 adventure packs

I will get a full shot tomorrow



They are either counting stuff we aren't, they have 4 they haven't shown off on purpose, or boomer, ghost roaster, dino-rang and voodood could be coming back as SSA re-release or something. Who knows at this point Acti is crazy with surprises

"The mix-and-match concept, later becoming Swap Force’s main gimmick, was in its infancy at that point. The team hadn’t figured out much of the gameplay or logistics yet. Still, when Activision’s executives visited, the idea was approved. Russo recalled that Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg even called it “magical.” From there, the studio was off to the races to make the magic come to life.

“We initially split it into two groups,” Russo detailed. “We had engineers figuring out how it would actually work.” The original engineer-created character was essentially a mound of clay with an audio jack connecting two parts. It was crude, but effective at laying the base for how magnets would later bring it to fruition."

"Engineer Brent Gibson made what later became known as the "Frankenlander." He went home, took apart a bunch of Skylanders and made a three-piece creation (or maybe abomination) using Spyro’s head, Prism Break’s torso, and Voodood’s legs. A video created by Gibson in the wee hours of the morning circulated around some of the team leads, showing, with no audio, Gibson taking Spyro’s head, and thanks to the magic of magnets, attaching it to the torso and the legs with one hand. It was the eureka moment of the entire project. The proof of concept that the Swap Force concept could actually work. And it happened before the first Skylanders game even hit stores."

I noticed that under the Toys R Us part it said "An exclusive repaint that I will talk about at a later date." I wonder if this is our Dino Rang. Although I won dent think that, I'd just think that it may end up being Spring Trigger Happy, or Jade Fire Kraken, etc;.
