Enchanted Hoot Loop is back up to $99.96? The magic triple pack however, is going down in price.

Based on the knowledge of the $10 coupon out there, I wouldn't doubt it if they jacked up the starter pack prices on purpose.

That would piss off Activision and Frito to no end. They paid a lot for that advertising. Plus Walmart is the only one doing this. Price gouging TRU isn't even doing this...they in fact added a coupon to get it for $50 at launch. Plus Walmart's site has been wonky lately. It's hard to take anything on that site seriously right now.

It is out of character for Wally World. I'll believe your version...for now.

The problems are fixed and they even bumped Enchanted Hoot Loop back to $14.96 (it's been messed up for days). Just a technical/data entry glitch. Too bad one cannot say the same for TRU's regular prices (new increases) ...

Yeah prices are back to normal...for now. I'm still debating pre-ordering Hoot Loop of just taking my chances on the shelf.

I've been thinking about the same thing, given at midnight I'll be at TRU. However, previously Walmart does not do variants in small numbers. Yes, Molten Hot Dog became rare, but for a couple weeks he was very plentiful. As long as you swing by one on release day you will likely be fine. If a scalper cleans them out, I personally have at least two other nearby Walmarts. If a scalper cleans those out, you can always order online at that point. If they aren't online anymore at that point, well it wasn't meant to be.

But, if Walmart is out of your way, Site to Store is a free shipping option and I have always had good luck with it (they use boxes, then take it out of the box for you). But doing that feels like "cheating", and that's the fun in the first day - the thrill of finding all those goodies. I like being able to personally pick out the one with the best paint job. smilie

It's $14.96 with free shipping that won't ship/charge you until the 18th. Why not order one as a safeguard and then take your chances in the stores. If scalpers do what they do best, you're still covered. If you succeed in finding one anyway, you can always cancel the pre-order. It's free insurance against disappointment.

@defpally - It's nice to know I'm not the only one who compares paint jobs. smilie

I seriously doubt we'll see a re-occurrence of GITD Sonic Boom where they are literally dozens on the pegs almost 10 months into the release. What that means to me is that if I want an in game variant, I'll pick the easiest first alternative---meaning if I happen to be in town on release day I'll swing by otherwise I'll pick it up online. But--and this is the important part--do it immediately.
