Info on the second Adventure Pack Sheepwreck Island! [CLOSED]

I officially know what's in the Sheepwreck Island adventure pack. Believe it or not, I was out today at Rockville Target where I found Pop Thorn and the Tower of Time adventure pack. I sadly didn't have a camera on me, but I did look at the back and saw that the Sheepwreck Island pack will have Wind Up and two items called Platinum Sheep and Groove Machine. Also saw the magic and air Skylanders on the back and had another image of Dune Bug's figure, but no Scratch on the back. I tried to buy it, but they couldn't since it can't be sold til the 13th and the guy then told me someone must have accidentally put it on the shelves. So in the end, guess I was right about the whole Wind Up being in a pack thing and was surprised to have found that in the stores. Also I'd like to describe what the items look like the Platinum Sheep looks like a bronze like sheep statue and the Groove Machine kinda resembles the player on the Dread Yacht that Skylanders rap their names to.

I hate it when I see something like a game out on shelves early and then the worker says you can't buy it. It gets me so hyped up to think that all the stuff we're buying is in the back room of like every store people hunt at right now!

Oh I believe it. I've seen stuff like this out early too. In fact I saw Zoo Lou out at Wal-Mart yesterday. Brace yourselves...the early swap force figures are coming!

Well sure I did, it's really just showing the content of the other adventure pack like how Empire of Ice showed Dragon's Peak and Like Pirate Seas showing Darklight Crypt on the back.

I wonder if it will be like a level in the 3ds version of ssa where you go to these ruins and there are statues and stuff that turn you into a sheep temporarily if you touch them. That level was awesome lol. There was even a "sheep" elemental gate! I hope they add elements of that level's gameplay or I will has DISAPPOINT!

Well Zap buddy you, Windumup and everyone else won't have to worry about Wind Up's release if it gets released as quickly as the first four adventure packs back in SSA. Four adventure packs and they were literally released wave after wave.

The level item just looked like an old brown portal with the swirl effect in the middle nothing special.

Sheep Wreck Island isn't out on day 1, just because it shows up on the Tower of Time Adventure Pack. It's very much in a later wave. I would guess wave 3... at the earliest.

Awesome. Most certainly not doubting you, given all the sightings that have been happening.. I just wanted to clarify that you did NOT have the pack itself in your hand, therefore it will NOT be out in Wave 1 as some of the posters on here seem to think given your initial description...

Believe it or not, ppl sometimes go out out with their phones or leave them in the car and lack the time to go pack and get them. If the item was out early and he tried to buy it and they took it away, tad hard to take a picture.

I found the disney inf woody at walmart 8 days ago before the oct 1st release but it was unable to be sold till the the 1st. Stores have the swap force items already as see in another thread with someone finding stuff this pass weekend at a tru. Sadly they are in the back waiting to be allowed to be sold smilie

Now if this was like 3months ago i'd say it was a lie.

The main game of SA has action around every corner while still tossing in enough puzzles. Giants is just puzzles and walking around bare environments and waiting for hazards to go away with few exciting action sequences, and when you do tumble into one of the good fights in the game, it's short lived.
I think that what makes good longevity is something you want to return to, that keeps you entertained the whole way through. I felt like Giants had bad longevity, because while it has extras and difficulty modes, it wasn't fun doing that. I really hope SF is different.

Giants could technically be called "longer" since it has some larger levels, arenas, etc., but be honest- how much of that was actually that fun?

This. Giants was a good game, but it really failed trying to beat out SSA. I have more reason to play the first game over the second.

With Swap Force, the levels actually look longer without being badly designed, thanks to the jumping mechanic, more fun and interesting puzzles, and a lot more replay value.

My comment is sheer technical. There ARE more levels...there ARE more adventure packs. As others have attested, there's advantages and disadvantages on how they approached the level design / re playability for both.

Please correct me if I'm actually wrong. SSA is still the gold standard on which to be measured in terms of levels and re-playability. In my mind the balance was struck nicely in SSA. I hope the standard gets notched up with SSF. I'm a bit nervous with all of this talk about doing various things---it's a nice diversion...but will it strike balance or feel odd? We'll see.

Yes, I do agree that Giants was way too puzzle oriented and they were just a nuisance if anything. It really took the fun out of replaying. Another thing I hope Swap Force doesn't do is make levels like the two in giants, The one where you fly that dumb plane/ship thing and the one where you are the walking robot. Those levels were boring and really take away from playing as a UNIQUE Skylander, Oh and the dumb Hub of Giants!. SA was a Funner game in many ways but giants did make some improvements. So it really is hard to say which is better. I do believe that Swap Force will blow 'em both out the water though. GO FISH!

AHHHHH! Those were the worst levels out of every last one, even the 3DS ones(yes, this level is worse than that one which serves no purpose other than as a tutorial and is always lagging and very boring, Pirate Bay).

I always hated those levels, and could never pinpoint why because they actually had level design that wasn't really that bad? But you got it down- they shouldn't be part of the main game... Those sequences just don't make you feel like you're playing Skylanders, and instead some mediocre minigame from a shovelware title! They are sooo boring and lasted too long in those chapters(SA had a few, but that's it, a few- they were very rare and didn't feel like the only things in the chapters that they were in)!

Chapter 10 was also pretty awful, though at least that ended and had much more combat by the time that you got onto the ship... And Chapter 4, oh god, that chapter was just as bad, if not worse than the others, with how much you needed to stop to play Skystones...

See, these levels demonstrate why many people thought that Pirate Seas was the worst adventure pack- overuse of a gimmick that wasn't really interesting anyway! Dragon's Peak is the same, I never understood the love that level was getting...
