Just had Tower of Time in my Hands!!! Just wanted to let everybody know I was holding the Tower of Time and brought it up to the register at Target.......then it showed up with a red screen saying "Don't Sell Until Oct. 13". They couldn't sell it to me!! GRRR! But I am writing this to let anyone know who is doubting that they will go "all in" like they did with Giants or SSA, don't doubt because you will. I saw the pictures online and was like "yeah, another Skylanders Adventure Pack", then when I was holding it and thought I'd come home and suprise my boy with it, I got that same feeling as finding a hard-to -get or just taking another step towards completion. It looks so cool!!! The Sky Gem is really clear and shiny, Pop-Thorn looks awesome (didn't think I'd like him either), the Tower is full of detail. Holding it in your hands is different than seeing it in a photo, just sayin'. It was very cruel of Target though!!!

I'm not quite sure why these stores aren't educated on the release date. Oh and I don't underestimate the coolness factor...but I'm digging my heels in on what I will (and won't do) this time around.

LOL...only 2 more weeks guys....its ok, just take deep breaths.

Simple - you're dealing with barely-above-minimum wage individuals who don't care about the product and are just in a rush to get their tasks done. Also, they deal with hundreds of "street dated" items every month - they can't be expected to remember them all.

Now, why they can't see the (usually) giant stickers on the boxes that say "DO NOT SELL UNTIL..." is a whole different story...

I thought i was going to buy it and then take pics, but believe me, i heard "pics or it didnt happen" in the back of my head when they took it away. I thought about asking the manager that showed up if i could take some pics of it, but i felt too embarrased to ask. Sorry!

My Target had about 5 Lightcore Hex's out on the pegs. Didn't say anything to anyone cause A.) I don't really even want her that much and . they probably would do the same thing as this.

Don't ever feel embarrassed to ask no matter how old you are or about anything in general. Asking is the only way you are going to find out what they have in the back if they see your face enough and you always ask what they have in the back they will remember you. also try to remember their names, its important so they feel personable leading to them most likely looking harder and maybe finding some random spot in the back and pull something out that you might need like a variant, or they might call you when they get a new shipment in.

I REALLY wish you had tried... It doesn't seem like LC Hex HAS a street date, just that she's being given away with Swap Force. It seemed definite to me that she'd appear on shelves back in July, so it would be very interesting to know if she has a Don't Sell Before date set...

As for LC Hex, I would imagine that you will only be able to get her if you Pre-Ordered for the first week. After the first week (Maybe as soon as 3 days after Release) she will be available for those who did not Pre-Order. The reason I say this is so that they do not come up short when/if some one comes in with a Pre-Order and they have no more because they sold her individually.

Well, judging from last time, all Giants figures will be removed from the shelves by the 13th. If she comes out on the 13th, she's likely to be removed the next day, so 3 days seems a little late.

For me, it's all (all reposes and recolours, all magic items, two of anything that doesn't swap paths) or nothing.

Honestly, after thinking about how the lack of Heroics is going to drastically reduce my play time and the customisation in figures, I'm leaning towards nothing.
They were a grind, but finishing all 50 and getting 65000 Gold and the Quests on even one Skylander felt very rewarding, actually took some time to do and let you get to know them better. I know there are Skylanders I would have barely touched once I upgraded them if I hadn't gone through their Heroics and learned how much fun their movesets were. And they lasted for a very long time and broke up the pace of the main game.

I will say, though, if I'm not getting SWAP Force I'll probably aim to finish of my variants collection from Giants and SA instead. I'm not sure which would be a better decision for me as I don't want to buy game after game when they continually change it in ways I dislike, but in that case I'd like to finally wrap up what I do have.

but hc is noaw in the game as extra play though challenges... havent you read that?.... so the hc is more or less included with the game and not locked into the figures this time. it is way better do it this way... noaw you dont feel forced to buy variants at all for upgrades..

They have not confirmed that these are a per-figure thing. I'm going to doubt it until I see it.

Guha Bala said it in a youtube video himself, it doint get moar confirmed than that. i cant find video at the mo but im shure other here can bring it here...

They never said that they added customisation to the figures.

Just that they were a thing unlocked by completing the game.

Per my wife my son found a 3ds copy of swap force yesturday in walmart here in NY, tried to buy same 10/13 issue. Sadly she didnt take any pictures but I doubt my 7yr old would lie as he was crying about it when I got home.
Like i've said stuff is in stores, just ppl putting stuff out sometimes don't read boxes.

Slayer...there is no reason to lie...as ypu know this happens all I over. ..every release. Its sad when the little kids see them on display and then are told they can't have them ...hard for them. But not many more days to wait..

I tend to agree with this theory...once the figures are on the shelves it will be more tempting. I've just gone through my Day One list and eliminated a few things as the total was insane! I've decided not to get the Triple pack with Slobbertooth/Eruptor/Pop Fizz, I'll be getting a Dark Slobbertooth and a Volcanic Eruptor in the 3DS starter.

Ya my total is scary atm too between the wife, kid and I. So far decided that we may skip the 3ds copies for now and just go with the dark editions and variants to start. Thou I and the wife got $20 each of rewards points (20 me, 20 her), thou half of them aint valid till the 16th. May use some of these on the 13th and come back 3 days later to use the rest.

I'm trying to decide if I'll take my son to the TRU midnight thing. Just getting to go to the toy store and staying up until midnight. ..would be exciting. But the close TRU isn't doing it so we'd have to drive 30 minutes or so. Im not sure if it's worth it. I wonder if they'll do anything special or fun other than just being open. Walmart is open 24 hours. ..and close...we could go there. Or just wait until the morning. Considering we "have" to be at Target at 8:00 am.

Hey Silva, how did you get your list compiled? I think it's a good idea but I'm not sure how to go about it if I don't know who is available where on day one. My son and I like Slayer's idea of dark and variants only to start, so I know it's Target first (Nitro Magna Charge), then Wal Mart (Enchanted Hoot Loop), then Gamestop (Dark Edition), then Toys R Us (do they even have anything special on day one?). Is there anything I'm missing? Thanx for the help!

Target got a crazy starter pack bundle for preorder, makes me ALMOST want to change my preorder from gamestop but nope. I want my darks.

Toys R Us(at least the Canadian one www.toysrus.ca) has Legendary Free Ranger and Legendary LC Grim Creeper. Basically my list is: Walmart 7am (Enchanted Hoot Loop and everything but what I get at the following), Target 8am (2xNitro Magna Charge packs), TRU 10am (Legendary stuff) and EBgames 12pm (2 Dark starters, 3DS starter, WiiU starter and 2 adventure packs)

Thank you, didn't know about the legendaries out on day one, that will change my plans for sure!

This does not even add up to a good deal. You get things that most of us could care less about, like the dog tags and trading cards and Scarlet (Already have) . $164 total and only $125 of it is for the Swap Force game, I'll pass.
