NO.

This is why the new pedestal system sounds SOOOOOO appealing. I unlock it and it's account wide. No re-grinding heroics.

I'm torn about this pack though. I really want Magna Charge and Free Ranger BUT I know Toys R Us is is doing a Legendary Free Ranger which I'm getting for sure and I hate yellow so Nitro Magna is kind of ehhhh for me at this point.

I'm so glad they are selling it online but I still think the pairing is stupid. You could always trade your double figure or sell it.

I wish you could pre-order it, like the exclusive Jack Skellington at Gamestop or the Woody at Walmart.

You can pre-order it on amazon.de... that's where I'm getting mine. It's actually a little cheaper if you have an amazon prime membership.

Get the Rattle Shake and NMC pack
Get Legendary Free Ranger
Get Hoot Loop
Wait for Rubble Rouser and Stink Bomb
Buy Rubble Rouser and Stink Bomb (If they are in a double, yay!)
Be able to acsess all the movement gates!

I wouldn't worry about pre-ordering these. Or pretty much anything. Target wants people in the store buying the game from them, so it isn't like they aren't going to have lots of them. They seem to be learning their lesson, as each successive exclusive has been easier and easier to find. As long as you don't wait a month or so. Even if you don't have many nearby Targets or some idiot buys 8 of them, the online one will go active when it is available.

I find it funny all the pre-orders for things like Tower of Time. It isn't like stores won't have a bajillion of them. In fact if you are willing to wait, it will probably be dirt cheap come January, just like the Battle Packs this year. Darklight Crypt only became scarce a year after it came out.

They really dropped the ball on the selection of these. If I get either of the two packs I would get a dupe of one of the 3DS starter packs which makes me less likely to get the 3DS starter pack now. So with these exclusive 2 packs and the fact they are releasing both the swappers from the 3DS starter in wave 1, they are greatly decreasing the incentives to get it. The exclusive Lava Eruptor does nothing for me and the way they arranged the exclusives and the swappers for wave 1, they seems to believe that the Eruptor variant is a big enough draw to bring people in.

The 3DS starter for SSA was great because you got Ignitor a couple months before it was released as a single and also got an exclusive variant and Stealth Elf who was not in the console starter or not featured in any exclusive pack. So NO overlap!

activision LOVES eruptor ( even though ignitor and sunburn are cooler >.<)

But yeah I was gonna buy the DS game just for the variant and 2 new figures, but now Im not since nitro is cooler and is paired with rattle shake and there is gonna be a legendary free ranger and then that leaves Volcanic eruptor who would be the only new guy I'd get with it and he's not worth the 50-40$, I wish activision would have made the DS bundle with like spy rise and Doom stone or something

^ This! Adding 1 or 2 non wave 1 Swap Force characters to the 3DS starter would have been the obvious move if you wanted to boost it's sales.

Only problem there is that there's zero evidence that Nitro Magna Charge will ever be released as a single pack. It's possible ... but there's nothing to support that belief at this time.

Ya I was about to ask this, I've seen nothing stating he will be alone. Id personally get the rattle snack one if it werent for the 3ds version having him. if i didnt want the 3ds game i'd just buy volcanic E, loose.

How many more of these doubles will be in this series of swap force? Like do we know others?

I'm collecting dupes of characters from now on so that I can put them down each path. I realise I can give one to each recolour or repose, but I'm never able to decide on which gets which path and I just like some better without Wow Pows in the subsequent games. I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to reset both SWAP halves whenever I want to change one.
I only have about 32 figures to go for the first two games, it's a realistic goal to get them before the 16th. I already have anything I can pre-order for launch pre-ordered twice, including the Darkstarter on 360 and Wii. Well, except the regular starter pack(which I've ordered only for Wii U), as I'll be getting doubles of regular Wash and Blast on eBay. I wish I could buy the regular starter again to get it over with, but it won't be worth it at all at full price, loose ones will be much cheaper and I have no use for a PS3 version. Plus, the Darks will tide me over until they arrive.

So... It's actually wise for me to get both versions of the pack. I'm getting a 3DS starter, so I can get an extra Free Ranger from one Double Pack, and an extra Rattle Shake from the other, while knocking out Nitro Manga Charge at the same time. ^D^ b And I don't need another Volcanic Eruptor, because as a repose, he can switch paths(it's a bit annoying to do each time, but it's saving a signfigant amount of money for me and feels a lot less stupid, so I can live with it).

But man... WAS IT AWFUL FOR THEM TO DO THIS! Now they're wringing out an extra bit of money from 3DSers. If he were in a Single, they would get half as much for each. This isn't a problem for me(it actually was the final push into buying doubles which I've wanted to for some time), but I can still sympathise because before I decided on my plan, it made me mad... Really stupid move, and those two characters won't be worthwhile doubles because now everyone will be selling them... Good idea is to hold onto them until the next game and sell them then, or even later. I can't guarantee it, but perhaps they'll be going for slightly more then(they certainly won't be "rare" ones as they come in a regular starter pack).

Actually you do bring up a good point. Thou if i did get another for that i'd be at 3-4 figures of some, as i have an open set and a sealed set of everything including the triples (which basically means i have two of everything sealed minus the giants, triple pack 8/9 and jet vac). Im debating skipping the triples and doubles this time around as I am unsure I really want that much stuff. Might go stright singles (unless it isn't a single)
