I went to Skylanders.com, and most of the voices for the characters sound the same. Are these preliminary just to hear the catchphrase, or are they real? If so, I am very dissapointed.

i want to find out myself, but i do know fire krakens, he sounds pretty epic

ok, so here is my first inpression of the voices


blastzone-sounds like ignitor
fire kraken- Original, he reminds me of a youtube vid with a crazy reshiram in it
fryno- ugh, too unoriginal
smoulderdash- she sounds like sonicboom in my opinion
freezeblade- hmm, i think he sounds like jet vac
punk shock- sounds like she belongs on the farm
riptide- nah, terrafin voice
doom stone- boring voice, not Original
rubble rouser- aka fire kraken but less cool
scorp- terrafin again
slobbertooth- TERRAFIN AGAIN!

stealth elf- sounds stronger then the first editions, hmmm


stink bomb- jet vac look alike
bumble blast- wow, this one fits well, nice
boom jet- huh, is this realy his voice?
zou lou- I LOVE HIS VOICE wow, realy nice done!
free ranger- i like the echo, but thats it realy
pop thorn- i loved him more wen he had a wreckingball voice....
scratch- flashwing look alike but that accent makes it good
megna charge- i tought he had a robot voice, well he doenst
spy rise- too much like all the otthers
countdown- nah, its ok, but not the best
wind up- countdowns brother calling it now
hoot loop- brittan accent, i dont like this
trap shadow- unoriginal!
cant heard dune bug's vice
cant hear star strike's voice too
night shift- terrafin!!!!
rattel shake- not even a sliss????
grim creeper- i had something better in mind
roller brawl- nah, sonic boom


concusion: more then 50% sounds like terrafin
20% sounds like sonic boom and the rest isnt great either

Countdown and Wind Up sound like geeks. But I think some of these are fake. Magna Charge does not sound like Magna Charge in the Skylander boy and girl vids. The only one I like is Doom Stone. All the others are blah.

Pretty much all the female voices sound the same to me.

I thought pop thorn would sound like WB.

I am disappointed with the voices as well. Too generic, I really hope they aren't official. Magna Charge's really scares me. It's so... Weird. Cheesy. Not robotic or cool.

I thought it was just me; glad I'm not alone. In fact, if you close your eyes and hear some of them, they sound like a pitch from a salesguy on one of those late night 30 minute infomercials. No joke.

Did they obtain any talent for these...not sure, but something went wrong in the process (in my humble opinion). It does actually all blend together (and frankly so do the character designs). Good thing the swapping mechanic saves most of this but aesthetically not as good as it should be.

I can actually understand and appreciate them using the previous voices for the older characters for consistency...however (as I previously noted)--it would be NICE if they could get the same actors and get a bank of voices to use on future games so we don't get THE EXACT SAME thing. I can understand it this time however because of the hi-def remodels. But then again--it might be as simple as Activision not wanting to pay for new content.

I still think some are preliminary... Magna Charge sounds diff. online then on the Skylander Boy and Girl vids.

Gosh, they don't typically do website updates multiple times during a franchise...so I'm guessing these are possibly final. It's not like they don't have the final product by now.

But, to your point, man do these sound "off".

I don't think these match in game voices...

I like 90% of them. No one sounds the same to me. And no Ninjask, Scorp and Slobber Tooth dont sound like Terrafin in any way.
The only one is Scratch, and she sound like Sonic Boom mixed with Cynder.

I love the voices of Riptide, Fire Kraken and Smolderdash, she got Azula's voice .

In all honesty, the voice acting in Spyro's Adventure was mostly good, but it seemed to have taken a hit in Giants. I guess Swap Force isn't much better.

I was expecting some deep, burly voice, like Terrafin, for Countdown.

Spy Rise sounds like the main action hero to one of those classic, cheesy comedy spy movies. I love it.

Doom Stone is a bit more diverse of the two. I was expecting some sort of medieval knight voice, but I guess Chop Chop and Blast Zone take that.

Night Shift is pretty much perfect.

Countdown looks like a goof to me...I think they got it right.

That's exactly what I've been saying. I mean it's not like Grim Creeper sounds a little bit like Occulus, he's spot on Occulus no change in the voice whatsoever. I was really hoping for a unique voice for my favorite character and am kind of worried how Dune Bug will sound like. At least the voice goes with him as I will admit this voice might as well been his from the start, but yeah it works.

Fire Krakens voice is the most....different in my opinion

Well, I was right. Magna Charge was preliminary. And I like Star Strike's.

Rattle Shake is hilariously ironic to me, in a good way. I mean, I follow five franchises, two of which have characters who use snaketalk. One of them is a Sea Serpent, and the other is a Komodo Dragon, of all things. Having the one actual snake not have snaketalk and instead have a refined Spanish-Mexican accent? That's some fine subversion.

The only reason the voice is inferior is because his voice actor also voices one of my absolute favourite characters ever right now, so he just got unlucky.

Boom Jet is my favorite swapper, but I just hate his voice...
