If Microsoft is receiving royalty for devices sold by certain manufacturers, particularly Samsung and LG, won't iOS and Android prices increase since iPhones and iPads are made from hardware produced by Samsung and Android is the only OS these two companies use? All for the benefit on Windows Phone... Intelligent plan but Microsoft could've let this plan go live a bit earlier when they had their peak of 8% market share. Now that Android has over 70% and iOS is at a steady 10%, proprietary OSes like HP Palm and Samsung Bada, even RIM's BlackBerry, are dominant as a chunk and therefore they, or it surpassed Windows Phone 8's sales. The public wants Android, not restricted WP8, and Microsoft fails to realize this. Please wake up, I won't accept discontinued Windows 8 support. ;.;
