I (Skylander Dad) asked all sorts of information pertaining to retail but got no answers, the reason was they said they don't handle the retail side of things so they really couldn't answer in fully. But I can try to get answers from the marketing department at Activision but thats' a no promise type thing.

I am relieved to hear that stats won't be nerfed. I hope to hear that they have a system in place for building stats up similar to heroics although hopefully not 100% the same.

Bombarded with footage. I now have Fire Kraken gameplay! O man! I don't know what to put out first. Interviews, jokes and stuff, fire kraken, co-op battle mode, I have a battle mode with Guha Bala himself (2 rounds) Bonus missions, a little bit of cascade glade. And I can't stick it all in 1 vid, the interview alone is like 16 min long.

Does this gameplay include those "Meet the Skylander" previews, that we got around this time of year for Giants?

Can you please do fire kraken first and then battle mode with guha bala?

How iis Guha in battke mode?Is he good?

Somehow we have to put out a not so exciting video first explaining that we are there so everything afterwards makes sense. If someone wants to help edit video, by all means. lol Otherwise I've got only nights to work on this.

No previews yet, but we do show you upgrade paths and how to do it. Guha is awesome to be honest, we did the battle mode more to showcase the level and horse around than who can knock who out the fastest. Swap Force characs have 6 abilities for the top and bottom (their path includes two abilities and there are two paths) I'm sure people will say "oh you stink" haha but we didn't get to practive before recording it so I'm almost learning as we are playing it.

How is Fire Kraken in-game?

how is Trap Shadow???

6 abilities for both the top and bottom, or six abilities combined?

Does rubble rouser have the same kind of bottom as Grilla Drilla or is different as a figure?

Yup everyone was able to hold Dune Bug as he was the only new one of out of the case, but no one got a pic of him unless they snuck it somehow but it was under heavy security.

Cool on gameplay (even if some of it is simple manufactured video from Acti), but no takers on the questions?!? I'd almost not spoil any more levels and stuff, and simply understand the upgrade mechanics and some of the other information we've seen from other skyfans that look a bit troubling.

Interested to see how the stats aren't nerfed based on video, the other answers you gave were expected. Hopefully we'll get the heroics and upgrade specifics too here...if not I'll just chill and relax for the news to come in after go-live.

I know this is an important game for Guha and VV, so I know they did the best they could within the framework they were given. Hope their QA guys were thorough and their coders were fast at fixing stuff.

This was expected; they set the precedent in the last game. I am of the opinion that the RFID chip always codes LCs as Series 1 characters (which never have wow pows) b/c they don't want a character with both wow pows and a nuke effect on first introduction.

Nope, thats been sort of released already, three examples are Flashwing, Warnado and Whamshell, the rest do have two versions. I put in a good idea with Guha, I told him let Lightcores have the ability to charge up their lightcore blast so they can use it at least 1 more time in game.

Son of a.... Man that sucks. So we get hosed (by hosed I mean we don't get the Wow Pow) on Warnado, who I was hoping would get better and my beloved Whammer. They need to simply make these reposes that light up...shouldn't be that hard.

Just a thing, do you think Europe (Spain, Italy, Portugal...) could get a little bit more spotlight than just USA and UK? I sometimes feel Europe gets just the figures and the game, and no variants or special stuff like tournaments.

This is something he won't know because even Vicarious Visions doesn't know. Europe is a split market with many languages, different retailers etc. It is not that ONE big market like the US. I asked some people at gamescom in cologne and none of them could answer questions regarding the european market. Also i tried asking the german press office but they do not have any really useful information regarding figure releases (like the missing triple packs, s2 drobot or sidekicks/flocked stump smash from frito lay promotion). So far, I couldn't find a contact person for european concerns.

As you know there isn't even a Skylanders Game Facebook page other than the us (english) site. So don't expect more focus on the european market. I'm not even sure if we get pumpkin eye-brawl, I mean, Halloween is just about 6 weeks away, so it should be released soon if at all. I hope we get the giants sidekicks next year at least.

Maybe it's just that there is no water levels to really swim in.

Maybe Zap and Stump Smash will still be to gain life, if they enter in these small puddles, like the one in the beginning of Winter Keep.

Will the new game allow Portal Masters to nickname their Skylanders figures, and will the nickname features symbols like (-, $, &, etc.)? I really want to add hyphens to some of my figures.

If you have two of the same swapper, what happens if you swap them? Like you have two Free Rangers and you swap them?

I don't think this would be an issue at all for the game. It simply reads each section of the swapper as different unique pieces. Right now it's like if you're playing with two Stealth Elfs with a friend and then swap one of the Stealth Elfs out for a third Stealth Elf. The game doesn't get confused by this. It just reads what you put on the portal, straightforward.

It still saves upgrades to the bottom half so you could switch a max upgraded bottom with a replica but with 0 upgrades.
