Scalpers do not buy up common items like Stealth Elf series 1. Cindy Beans clearly has a much different business model. They are doing what every successful retail store does: they are making mere cents off most of their sales and selling a huge bulk of stuff hoping it turns a profit in the end. Just because they have some terrible prices on some chase variants does not make them scalpers. This morning when I checked Amazon for Pumpkin Eye Brawl, it came up as $21 being the lowest price, and the seller as Cindy's Beans. Right now they're only the third best price...out of forty-two sellers! It's *really* competitive out there. If the chase variants being sold for $200 bothers you that's fine. I wouldn't buy those either. But that's basically what people charge for those things across the 'net. Collectible toy shops will always sell rare stuff for more than the MSRP. This has never been a proper use of the term "scalping". Scalping would be some guy running off to Target and buying 15 Granite Crushers, not a store who happens to have a few rare figures they sell for more than MSRP.

Cindy Beans has common figures because they are included in the cases. You don't get chases without case order or extremely good luck. Right now, nothing Skylanders Giants related that you can still find in stores is going to be marked up much, so going by current prices is not going to tell you much.

I know you are new to Skylanders, but the general negative opinion is based more on their prices when Skylanders were more in season. For example, anytime Amazon had a figure in stock it was almost a joke how you could immediately tell when they ran out because the listed price jumped from retail to three or four times that instantly, and it was typically CindyBeans that popped up since they are a "Preferred Retailer". I have no doubt many an unaware parent was caught by this. Keep your eye out, I have no doubt this happens again. Yes, they fluctuate with the market. Right now figures are basically being clearanced everywhere.

pioneer , in a printed pioneer costume *no hat*
delicious , a bronze version of shroomy but his eye shows completely and with his cap smothering with gravy.
totem , with no grassy shorts but with a lot of printed totems on his back.
pumpkin pie , a golden eyebrawl with a pie for a head but his eye shows in rips in the pie.
turkey free ranger, a grilled version of free ranger, golden.
appetizer rattle shake, with salt and pepper on him with gravy

I think the figure is pretty cool. And no I am not going to gloat like others have expected me to do. The only thing I hope that in the future people aren't so quick to dispel rumors or information provided by Gamestop employees just because there aren't pics to prove it. I guess the Matteomax figure will have to be put on hold! Joking, joking.

Now my question is how will this be associated with Gamestop? I went back today to try to speak with the Manager I talked to the other day but he wasn't in. This new guy today was clueless when I asked him about it though. He tried selling me some promotion that they have going on this week were you pre-order Swap Force and you can purchase a core Giants figure for half off.

Yeah, I think they've jumped the shark with this one. At least for me anyways. My son might have a different perspective though, so will probably get him eventually.

Well..i kinda knew it would be a Swap Force figure...do to the release date of it...But why did they pick him? Why not Smolderdash..or Star Strike? Well he looks ...different...ehh. Anyways, we can hope it looks better in person. And yeah it looks like a candy cane bee in his gun...the bees will be red an white striped...that will look weard.

Pumpkin Eye-Brawl doesn't show up different, except for the fact that he shows up as "Special" in the game.

ahhh......Pumpkin Eye-Brawl. Also that name is pasted above Bumble Blast, theres no package shot..its loss beside it. But an In-Game Variant would be cool...i think.

but he actually dos not have Pumpkin in his name. (not on package or anything else other then store inventory lists to differ him from the regular version)
but then Jolly could be in the same boat because, like Phoenix said, his name is just text on that pic.

Edit: actually Platinum Treasure Chest breaks that rule....but then I like to believe that it was always intended to be In-Game but some reason never got coded in, maybe due to development rush.

The more I think about this and what the manager at Gamestop told me has got me a little worried. He told me about it being a Thanksgiving release and I guess I just assumed it had to do with that holiday. Now what has me worried is that this could be a Black Friday release for the store which I hope isn't the case considering I avoid that store like the plague then. Especially with two new systems coming out at around the same time.

If it is a Black Friday release and I can get it no other way, they can kiss mah grits. Very few real or good deals on black Friday if you pay attention to the prices.

Now I kinda want to see a Santa's Helper... but not necessarily the one you think. Boomer and Zook would be fun.

No Bumble Blast is a Life. But i agree..being a flyin type one would think they would make him a air....but he's a lifer.
