Variants don't have unique abilities so no he won't. He will at least be an in game variant that's for sure, but overall just another Magna Charge in the long run.

Nope.

Letsy compared the stat cards (Yes, he actually saw both figures), and Target is also supposed to mention that when he's released. They had a special email go out about it, and he's expected to sell out in the first week of release.

Wait you mean the stat cards? -.-' I thought those had nothing to do with the actual stats of the skylanders in game?

Unless in swap force there fixing that which would be nice! but I kinda doubt it since pop thorn supposedly has 200 defense...

They actually do. They give a relative number (Not an exact amount) of their in-game stats.

I think the novel idea of "double packs" is very cool, and I like the concept.

I do think it's strange that Activision put Nitro Magna Charge in BOTH of the double packs that we know about so far, but c'est la vie.

^ Double packs make a LOT of sense given the swap mechanic. I'll definitely get this then since I'm about speed. I'll probably be able to save a few bucks instead of getting the single packs of each. Will go with Ranger since I'll be getting Rattle Shake in the 3DS kit.

Am I the only one who doesn't like him? I would have liked this variant quite a bit if he either had blue instead of yellow or they had made his wheel and eye blue or something, but he just looks lazy, and the colour combination is very unappealing to me. Just my opinion, I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same.

@GhostRoaster Rattle Shake and Free Ranger are both in the 3DS kit. If anything, you may be better off getting a Rattle Shake with Nitro, since there's going to be a Legendary Free Ranger as well. >.>

Whoa, I just noticed Nitro magna charge has a Checkered white and yellow pattern on his right shoulder and the metal part to his wheel in the art and on his figurine!

I can't tell about the left arm though since it's out of view v.v
