I think this topic is like pointless

Well really Flashwing is getting an LC so you can blame Prism Break and also not saying I don't like Boomer but Sprocket was more popular and as they said the reposed skylanders are now called Fan favorites and Boomer was not liked so much.

Flashwing didn't sell very well so I don't know what they were thinking....
The sad thing is since she was released I have never been to a store that sells Skylanders that didn't have Flashwing. Just more of them to warm the shelves...

in my opinion, flashwing is pretty good. (in the right hands) but dino rang deserved it WAY more. Boomer;same thing. but sprocket, i havent tried yet. or boomer. sooooo...... *leaves computer to grab quarter* backround: DANG IT! *checks pocket* oh, here it is. *smacks self in the head* now to decide. *flips quarter* and boomer it is! so i think boomer should of got it instead of sprocket.

Well, I famously hate Boomer and Dinorang (and Whamshell), and I quite like both Flashwing and Sprocket – so it works out for me. But we only have speculation on ‘why’, until someone from Activision/TFB/V.v. decides to say – and I doubt they ever will give an answer as there is nothing to gain from releasing that information (from a marketing perspective).


I think one thing to remember is that we aren’t sure how well/poorly each figure actually sold. We know that Boomer sold poorly, but there is no solid information for the others – for example, Dinorang was on shelves a long time here (in fact he’s still there now) while Flashwing isn’t nearly so easy to find. And the reverse is true, so other places Flashwing is everywhere and Dinorang went quickly….
But even if we knew for sure what was/wasn’t sitting on the shelves, we STILL don’t know how many have sold because we don’t know how many were made. If they expected to sell a lot of Flashwing, they may well have produced more than the normal number of that figure – and I highly doubt they’d have made Jade if the standard figure wasn’t selling.

I am actually really looking forward to LC Flashwing. Her repose looks SO much better and the light aspect works very well for Flashwing all things considered for her powers.

I personally think the repose of Sprocket is a laughable idea.
However, my thoughts on why they did it .... since they couldn't (or wouldn't) make any of the Swappable characters female, they made sure to keep things balanced, somewhat, by doing lots of female non-Swappables for this generation of Skylanders (Punk Shock, Sprocket, Flashwing, Roller Brawl, Cynder, Whirlwind, etc.)

^I really do think Infinity helped shape this decision.

For obvious reasons, because all the Swaplanders are guys, Activision is bringing back the female characters, including Cynder, Whirlwind, etc. As for the Magic and Fire elements, they now have female core Skylanders; Star Strike and Smolderdash. Air, Water and Undead will have more female characters; Scratch, Punk Shock and Roller Brawl.

My response was because they are female landers. Sprockets use to be everywhere for awhile and now they actually at least by me are gone. I've also noticed flashwing and whirlwind is starting to be overrun by cynder. As hot head is starting to replace swarm here. I guess that's enough to say that they are selling. Dino rang I actually like and boomer i like cause i like trolls--prob cause I liked horde from warcraft.

At least with have a female in every element for this game.
