You guys make me a bit sad, not having this up already. I'm coming out of like a three-year retirement just to make this thread, because if there's one place it deserves to exist, it's here.

The original Spyro the Dragon released in North America on the PlayStation on September 11, 1998.

That means our little fire-breathing purple friend turned 15 years old yesterday!

I have a weird theory in my mind that Spyro is 25 years old, because when the first Goonro game was released I'd like to think that he was ten years old in that game.

aaaahhhhhh, the good old days....*sits in rocking chair*

Insomniac Games put a picture of Spyro on Facebook yesterday, with the caption "Happy birthday, old friend. Keep having fun in the sky." Or something like that. It's nice to know that they still acknowledge him, even if it's only for a day, or even a few hours smilie
