Long time no post...

For the life of me, I can not find this posted, or referenced anywhere else on the site, so I figured I would share. My apologies if it has been posted, but I skimmed the gamescom and newer posts and saw nothing...I figure if anyone caught this it would be generating interest/buzz and near the top, so as promised previously, I'll take the time to share.

Most you have seen the new gameplay, artwork, screen shots, and high res pics of the toys...Something that I feel was overlooked in that was some new information. The character bios were structured as follows:

Skylander Name
Element
Slogan
Story

Catch is that on the SWAP Force guys we had the ability listed out after the element. A minor detail as most know, or have figured out roughly what they do, but I know there is that faction that wants the definitive name and proof etc...I figure it won't get much better than that. Again, I can't stress that while we all pretty much knew Rattle Shake's spring icon indicated coiling/jumping/bouncing, the "Bounce" designation came straight from the Official Bio.

Similarly, and this one is a bit more exciting...the press release, while pretty much verbatim from previous installments, contained some "new" information regarding Battle Mode additions. I think this was completely overlooked and it is, at least in my opinion, a pretty big reveal!

-Solo Survival, Team Survival, Rival, Battle Arena, Ring Out

I honestly think most just go straight for the flashy content...And you can't blame anyone there...The figures look great and the gameplay definitely garners the most attention. I'll get all that up over the next few days, although I know most everyone has seen it...What I don't think many are aware of is the fact that the 8 Abilities were referenced and that we got the additional insight on the Battle Mode content, which is why I'm posting for you.

I'm the most excited for Solo Survival Mode since I'm usually playing solo, but I'm thinking it might be similar to Brock's Arena Challenges. Still, a nice addition and I'm sure the 2P options will be a blast when my Nephew is over to play. I had asked about a Solo Battle Mode at E3 and Survival Mode is what was referenced. Should be interesting!

Again, work has been swamped and I'm pulling very late nights (and for me that is saying something, ha) to get everything cranked out...I just honestly have not seen the SWAP designations or Battle Modes outlined or referenced anywhere yet.

This is all straight from the source...I'm one that keeps to the facts and I think my few prior posts attest to that. If people need more "proof" about all I can do is screencap word documents, lol. The blog and videos go into more detail, but for now, a nice addition to the anticipation factors for SWAP Force!

Any of the designations not what you expected? What addition to Battle Mode are you most excited about? Just a little over 6 weeks now!

Hey 1ofWiisdom, just read your blog posts, and can't wait for the new Battle Modes. Similar to you, I don't have anyone to play with, so the Solo Survival Mode will be a great welcoming, ala Brock's Arena Challenges.

Yeah, I was really excited at E3 when they said "Yes" to the Solo Battle Mode...I started to go into why that was so great and then they corrected me it wouldn't be PVP style. Still, like you, I am the most excited for the Solo Survival Mode. I think a lot of people forget that core, single player element...especially in games intended for the family/friends etc. It is great when I have someone to join me, but until then, I'd like to enjoy it solo...I wish there was a little more detail, but it will be a nice option for those in our position.

I wonder what Rival mode is?

It was supposed to say Rival Survival Mode. I'm thinking this may be split screen.

bitter sweet on survival modes. please tell me there are no quests that require two players. totally lame if u don't have anyone to battle (as was the case with Giants as we completed quests) and points out the obvious...we need online mode.

Will there be any on-line play modes? If the skylanders series wants to compete with the Disney Infinity, on-line would be a plus for the skylander swapforce.

I thought it was called Sneak not Stealth
