I've checked off all of the non-variant characters on my Giants checklist! I feel so pleased about it that I could sing a song...

...but I'm a terrible singer, so I won't! Still, it felt so rewarding to place that last character into the sole remaining gap on my shelf. Now, to find and finish my Adventure collection before Swap Force comes out!

I only need Royal Double Trouble to finish my collection this year. Ugh he's hard to get cheap

How did you get the Skylanders Employee gift gold & snow flocked Lightcore Prism Break? ...i want one of those ...but i aint got 400 bucks to spend on one. I don't have any chase variants...never could find any around here where i live...im guessing the employees snatched them up...ohh wait ..i do have 2 the clear blue Bash an the clear red Drill Sergeant....the easy ones...pfft...lol

thanks phoenixlord!!! i got him on eBay and on the cheap surprisingly, ~$100; I have a silver dino-rang on the way, and i already have a few sets of mini-jini, eye-small, thumplin, and barkley; i also have a few pumpkin eye-brawls pre-order and of course have all the new swap force guys pre-ordered that are available as of today. i'll post an update pic(s) when my silver dino-rang comes in and when i get around to opening the new sidekicks!!! =D

thanks Matteomax, i didnt pay all that much (when it comes to variants), i try to stick around $100 for each variant. what i do is stalk eBay and when i see a good deal, i pounce. i'll update these pics when i get the silver dino-rang, im excited for him.

im hoping they make a variant of Swarm and Thumpback, as they are the only 2 GIANT Giants that do not have a variant, heck Eye-Brawl has 3 variants!!!

great question NINJAsk11...there are non official variants of Chill...the original blue lips (as seen on the box art), the "variant" purple lips, and the "variant" pink lips.

That means there are at least five versions of Chill in Giants alone!

I'm trying to control my collection, which is why I'm choosing carefully which characters I buy so I have one version of each character, except for my core eight and possibly some LightCores as well. The way I've mapped it out is: 24 regular Skylanders in each series, eight Giants, 16 Swap Force members, either 0 or 8 LightCore Skylanders, and the Adventure & Battle Packs. Variants are extra characters and don't count towards those totals. By following that system I still maintain a balanced collection without spending too much on buying every single toy. Right now I'm focusing on building my Series 1 collection, which is kinda small at the moment.

very observant phoenix lord!!! i have 2 Voodoods so i can have both upgrade paths. any SkyLander that doensnt have a variant I have an extra opened one of, such as Camo, Ghost Roaster, and a few others, I tried to take all my doubles out of the pic but forgot that one.

still waiting on good paint jobs on the skylander giants sidekicks and then i'll make an updated pic, or try to, i couldnt figure out how to add the images on this site.

Wow, you are lucky to have all of those variants. You know, before I put my variant hunting days to rest I would love to have at least 1 non-ingame variant. It would be a nice display item to put on my wall. Hopefully there are some nice ones at launch for Swap-Force.

I still need Metallic Lightning Rod, Metallic Eye Brawl, Special Edition Gill Grunt, Jet Vac and Lightcore Hex.

Love the layout, especially putting the giants on the portal.

Here is my kids collection. I know its not as impressive as some on here but its growing. They have been collecting since last Christmas and at one time they had doubles of almost all of them new in package but we decided to sell some so they could get swap force and also only collect variants in the packages.
