Besides, this topic is biased.

Plus, it's just asking for pointless Disney Infinity bashing from users who simply hate the game for its similarity to the Skylanders toy concept, and it will be grow into a huge debate.

Yay, another Skylanders V.S. Disney Infinity topic on a SKYLANDERS FORUM. Gee, I wonder which game will win the "competition"...

Oh, and after reading IGN's review, I've re-affirmed my deciswion that Skylanders and Infinity are completely different and should not be compared. If Infinity were a massive crossover adventure with lots of hacking and slashing and any character could drop in whenever, I might compare it, but otherwise, no.

A Skylanders and Sonic, now that would work!
One thing, would Sonic characters be in a whole new element, or worked into already existing ones? Tails is Tech, Kunckles would be earth, Blaze would be fire, but some would be a bit harder. Sonic would be air I guess, Shadow could be Magic or Undead (if he were undead, Silver'd be magic).

Um. No. Sonic and his friends do not fit into the Skylanders games whatsoever. They'd be so out of place.

I picked up Infinity today, and I'll report back if you like - but it's a silly topic because they are not even remotely the same sorts of games. On one hand, I like the game of Skylanders and will enjoy leveling up the figures - on Infinity there is no leveling and the games are very limited. Meanwhile I'll enjoy fluffing about in Infinity's toybox mode - which will be less repetitive than replaying a static game hundreds of times.

One thing I can say - I'll be buying all the Skylanders to explore their skill trees and enjoy the process leveling them up. But on Infinity I'll pick up just the playsets, nothing else. The characters skills don't have trees, the stats are static, my character is the same as every other version of that character - why bother getting a character if a visiting character will do everything I need.
