Is the only way to get Rattle Shake and Free Ranger to get the 3ds version of the game?

people here claim both will come in single packs at release... but i dunno..

I mean Jet Vac has a non light core single but apparent that's never actually released in north America.

Well I guess it's probably safe to cancel my prerecord of the 3ds version then, I just want the two figures and don't care about the repose and they'll be cheaper on their own.

A Swap force figure is the same price as a Giant right? $15?

They're both Wave 1. A prototype image of Free Ranger in a single was revealed, but it was just the packaging.

Yes 15 and I can confirm Rattle shake and Free ranger singles are wave 1
Was mentioned that all e3 revealed ones are wave 1 in singles (or in pop thorn"s case an adventure pack)

They are, and thats a good thing! I do not want the 3DS pack, but Rattle Shake and Free Ranger are my faves.

No.
They will both have single packs.
I think they're both also scheduled to be in new "double packs", I think with a variant of Magna Charge?

Those were announced via a retailer, but we haven't seen any packaging yet. I kinda hope that's wrong - it would be annoying to be forced into getting a dupe if you want the 3DS version and Nitro Magna Charge.

I've seen the packaging. Free ranger and nitro magna charge are in a 2-pk. that will be exclusive
to one retailer. Nitro magna charge will be the fastest of the swap force characters, so he will be critical to get.

My plans are to get the Rattle Shake/Nitro Magna Charge pack then L-Free Ranger to take care of those.

Anyone else hoping that the Legendary Swappers come in a double pack?
If so, I'll get the Nitro/Rattle and the L-free/night packs.

I'm so sad that Nitro Magna Charge is getting bundled with two guys from the 3DS pack. It's nearly a deterrent to get the 3DS game entirely! I have both 3DS and PS3 packs preordered, so now what, S2 Cynder all over again? Guess one will go to eBay...

It is an exclusive. I can't say which retailer yet, but you can probably figure it out.
I was able to see the packaging and check out some wave 1 figures last week and can confirm that wave 2 will be out the week after the launch, so there will be plenty of skylanders to choose from in October.

i want the 3DS version along with the Wii U, but I will most likely wait until it goes on sale closer to the holidays around 40 dollars. That way I get 2 Swappers ($30) and the game along with Eruptor. But yeah, if they were singles I'd probably just buy them separate and forget the 3DS game.

I figure that if I get it at launch, I can use the Frito Lay coupon ($10) plus get another LightCore Hex ($15 or more if I dump it on eBay). That brings the price down to $50. Subtract out the swappers and Eruptor, and it's $10 for the game. A no-brainer for me.
