Something to report to Gamemaster. There were full shelves where I live with Infinity stuff. Meaning nothing had been purchased... The first purchase took place while I was there and that little boy was so excited. But only got the starter. I'm betting that for a little while anyways Infinity will not be a threat.

I went to TRU and saw the exclusive clear Lightning McQueen...they only had 6 or so of those and only a couple of Lone Ranger play sets...they had loads of everything else. TRU employees were quick to try and help people perusing the merchandise.

Funny, while I was in there I saw 2-3 skylanders customers grabbing their Hot Dog and other stuff...Infinity was there saying "me me me".

I'm saying no to 30.99 for a triple pack, 13.99 for a single and 35.99 for a playset.

Actually the game does look incredibly fun
Plus once the community starts building unique levels
That's where you can play with whatever character you want
Look at little big planet custom levels there so unique and fun and this is said to be similar
So thats what will add long lasting replay value,
Just imagine once they bring marvel and star wars into the mix
Plus competition is what will make each franchise stand out and think of better ideas
Look what activation did to tony hawk and guitar hero games
They made so many people got sick and bored of them.

I actually can see this working if they do it right actually. Release some, but make them be the series 2 and 3. If their backwards compatible like s2 was with ssa, then those wanting to jump in and start collecting some, as well as maybe start leveling and preparing for ssf gameplay. Only some mind you, do its like a teaser other than just pics of figures. This could keep hardcore fans preoccupied in the wait time before ssf. Those who arent as enthused, or parents who go for just one figure per character or whatever due to finances wouldnt be as focused on picking up reposed figures, as was mentioned with the lightcore or series 2.
This could keep super fans pleased they got some early, and then the parents buy the new characters for their kids when swap force is fully released.

I don't think Skylanders has anything to worry about. My son and I went to Toys r Us at 8 am and there were only two other guys there getting Infinity stuff. Originally, we had only planned on getting one figure for my son to play with. He really wanted Davy Jones. Well, after seeing all the cool figures, I thought, what the heck, and got the starter set for Wii (had a 20% off coupon), 2 more figures and 2 power disc packs. We then went to Target and two Walmarts. There was no one at those stores looking at the Infinity sections.
We'll have to play it more, but at the moment we are not thrilled with the game. In the Toy Box, the multi player is split screen. I hate that! In the Play Sets you can't do multi player with the Wii. The Play Sets games are OK, but no where near the adventure Skylanders is. Also, of the 5 powers discs I got, 2 are duplicates.
With Skylanders we were hooked the instant we first played it!

Thank you Skyrolo. I am gonna get DI, but for Christmas, a good 5 months after realese, when the game is cheap. Cause I aint paying that much moola for the game and a triple. 31$ Vs 25$ for 3 characters...Swap Force, please and thank you!
