i dunno i just really need to let this out because im tired of not being able to post it anywhere because of lack of discussion to things related, ya'know?
1. There were over two hundred or so people who applied to become a moderator. Not only the popular users were fit for it, or at least the more known ones, and it's silly to assume that only a select people were fit to become a moderator and are suddenly above the two hundred other people merely because users know them more. And I don't think people who have ever been overly disrespectful to other users often or even admin would even be promoted, whether or not someone has "changed".
2. Roleplaying isn't something to get elitist about when it's on a forum like this, it's better off ignoring things that frustrate you about RPs instead of sticking your nose in them. At the same time, Copyright is something to be concerned about here...
3. Some people here can be very entitled, while some aren't entitled enough. Sometimes I think people make a bunch of noise and fire about all the wrong things here...and other things just get slipped under the carpet by some of the most trusted users on the site.
4. Almost every time, the first few replies can indicate the tone and whatever digression the thread may take (i.e saying "I don't know" just encourages more "I don't know"s), and people have taken a bad habit in their typical tones when replying to some types of threads. If you want the site to be a better place, contribute it instead of hiding from it...make threads more friendly and more open by replying in more...well, open-minded ways -- and watch what difference this can make in the progress of threads...and of course, not many people have been willing to do that. They just get sick of it, bored or what have you.
5. I'm a bit afraid to post seriously anymore...and that doesn't make sense, that the whole "better be careful what I say" thing has kicked in now. Though, I had a disagreement with someone, and it could be quite linked to that. I somehow don't feel safe posting here currently, so I'm more nonsense than typically. May get out of it. Who knows. Hm.
