I doubt it. But if it is possible, then it would be even easier. Remember how Gnarly Tree Rex was an exclusive before. Now he has his own single pack in almost every retail store, including Walmart.

It is possible but it probably won't be until wave 5.

It depends on the contract they signed with Gamestop. Usually store exclusives are paid for by that store, and therefore can only be sold by that store. If anything maybe Gamestop will sell them as singles down the road?

lets point out a few skylanders:

s1 dark spyro: he is exclusife to the ssa 3ds pack, but , he is released in a single pack in some countries(including mine, yay)
punch pop fizz: he is going to be exclusif in a single pack at a place called Mediamarkt(again, thats my country YAY)
grnarly tree rex: well, duh, he is everywhare at walmart, gamestop, ebgames,(i was too Lucky to be in canada just wen it came, BAM)

so the darkies MIGHT get singles too, in fact, i am too sure they are

It will be a case of maybe or maybe not. Nobody knows yet. If they do happen to come out in singles I wouldn't expect until this time next year. Based on past experience it would still be cheaper to buy them now in the starter bundle.

But all those guys were in starter packs that were available at all stores. You don't see the Toys R Us Legendary figures being sold at other stores or Target's Granite Crusher or Jadewing (unless they have been moved to clearance...I'm not sure if that's happened to any Skylanders yet). Gamestop paid to have the dark starter sets as an exclusive to their stores. It really will depend on the contract they signed with Activision.

Still don't see Golden Dragonfire Cannons at mass retail. Infact, they're starting to disappear from my local Gamestops.

If I were to see a Royal Double Trouble single pack (since Royal is exclusive to GameStop ios starter pack), then I could possibly believe the darks could come in single packs. There is a reason it is called collectors edition.

The official name however has no "Collectors" tag floating around on it at all though. Its the "Dark Edition". It'll still be collectible for people that want to have the specialty box compared to singles. We could still see Dark singles show up down the road even if they maintain to be an exclusive for Gamestop.

Normally, I would say "Yeah, it's totally possible!" because Dark Spyro, Punch Pop Fizz AND Gnarly Tree Rex have single packs now. But this is no ordinary starter pack. This is a COLLECTORS EDITION, so basically it's for the most hardcore collectors (like moi, who has already preordered it) to buy. But I bet we'll see a Volcanic Eruptor single in May-June 2014!

The Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance special edition isn't called a "Special" or "Collector's" Edition, but rather "The Mark of Mastery Edition" and though I didn't see an official statement saying so, seemed to be exclusive to GameStop. It was only available on release day, never seen again after.

A "Collector's Edition" doesn't need to be called a Collector's Edition to be one.

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance was a Limited Edition, to the best of my knowledge, which is equivalent to a Collectors Edition, as quantities are well...limited. The Dark Exclusive, has implied nothing that when the pre-orders are done, we'll never see it again. Just that the only place we can find it will be Gamestop.

I'd like one, and here is a note to VV:
You like money. We all know that. Well, If you realease the 5 in single packs, even later on into the life cycle of SSF, you will make way more money than you will with the Dark Edition. Guaranteed. If you need an example, look no further then Gnarly Tree Rex. He didnt sell much, but people are buying him faster than a Jackalope with his tail on fire now that he got his own single pack.
Someone should really Email this to VV. I know a TfB employee is on the forums, so Chris at Tfb please tell this to VV. It would mean alot.
