Most likely a prototype name - maybe the press-release incorrectly had Slobbertooth as Lockjaw. Either way, the trading card in the revealed image and the single character packaging we've seen before calls him Slobbertooth, so it looks like that's his real name.

Le gasp! Rockjaw sound epic, but its just not right for Slobber Tooth. Maybe another lander in the future with mega mandibles could be called LockJaw, but not my Slobber Tooth!

It's possible that they were trying to be careful. I hear that companies cannot use other people's ideas, or else they have to pay royalties. They were going to go with Lockjaw until they noticed there was a fan-lander named Lockjaw. Hmmm, I wonder who made a fan-lander named Lockjaw. ...Oh right, me.

...In all seriousness, though. I doubt a name would have needed royalties to be payed, so it's safe to assume that's not the actual case. Besides that, my Lockjaw doesn't look anything like Slobbertooth. I'm going to have to say they just liked Slobbertooth better. ...Or they may just be changing his name since recently.

They are also calling the Dark Starter Pack a pre-order bonus, so perhaps we shouldn't pay too much attention to them.

Slobber tooth is his official name, but am I the only one who likes Lockjaw better?
