Hello fellow Portal Masters! I was thinking about how Dig Swappers would walk normally, then I found the answer. I had a few guesses, but one worked out best. First, I thought that they would just dig to walk, then I realised that wouldnt work. Then I thought that they could sperate the drill, but that just wasnt right. To get the most likely answer, you must look at another Skylander. Whom, may you ask? None other than Bouncer! Bouncer moves by balancing on his wheel, and leaves Skid Marks wherever he goes. Now imagine that the wheel was a drill, and the skid marks were dig marks. That is your answer.

Ninpire is right, Rubble Rouser might have shovels to use or something.....And about the drill movement, I'd say they split the drill in half and it changes into a pair of legs....It seems unlikely, but I'd find that cool nonetheless

I would have to say that Doom Stone is a spinner while Rubble Rouser is a digger. I'm sure RR uses his hands to dig as the lower section of DS creates a sandstorm-like tornado.

Except that Rubble Rouser wouldn't dig with his hands, as the movement type is in the bottom half. |

I think Doom Stone is Dig. I mean, look at the bottom, that's not a Tornado.
EDIT: And look at Rubble Rouser, he doesn't have the lower half that could dig, he has legs. |

Maybe Doom Stone's drill splits in half too? Making two solid rock legs? That would be enough different for me, from Grilla Drilla, and it would be cool!

You do know that Doom Stone is Spin, and Rubble Rouser is Dig. Because, none of the Swap zone skylanders were side-by-side, so Doom Stone has to be Spin

^SO WHAT IF NONE OF THE PREVIOUS SKYLANDERS PICTURES HAD ONE OF THE SAME MOVEMENT TYPE NEXT TO THEM!! ...*ahem* The pattern of the Skylanders pictures on the poster has nothing to do with the Movement types. I am sure of it. From the pictures, I conclude that Doom Stone is indeed Dig, and Rubble Rouser is Spin. Why? Let me give some facts. In Grilla Drilla's art, you saw him with his feet in drill form, right? Well, why can't Doom Stone be the same? Plus, from what we can see in Doom Stone's picture, his bottom half really looks like a drill. And do you see anything involving a Drill or some other digging instrument on Rubble Rouser's art? No. I gave solid facts, and this is what I believe.

But how could Rubble Rouser be Spin? I think Rubble Rouser is dig and will use his feet almost like a jackhammer or like Wreck it Ralph's fists. They aren't going to make both dig types have drills. It would be like buying the same character.

OK, but I think they would stick to the basic drill because it is simpler to work with. So that is why I think Doom Stone is Dig. I think Rubble Rouser would be a little like Free Ranger but different. I get how everyone thinks Rubble Rouser is Dig, but why does everyone think Doom Stone is Spin (other than the reason Rubble Rouser is Dig).

But if you look just above that part, it shows a drill. Remember in Grilla Drilla's artwork where he is kicking up dirt? Well, I think it is the same thing here. Look, I think that Rubble Rouser will do something like spinning like a top hitting enemies in his way. That would be his bottom half ability. Doom Stone's bottom half could be a traveling ability of some sort, where he uses his drill to travel.

Seeing as Hoot Loop and Night Shift (along with BZ and Boom Jet) are the same movement type but move in very different ways, I imagine that the Earth driller will actually move around while continuously drilling.

That proves nothing. Plus, we recently found out that Rubble Rouser's feet are actually drills, so it's likely he is Dig and Doom Stone is Spin. |

The dirt around Doom Stone could be somewhat of an earthy derbis lifted into the air like a sandstorm, but we'll see soon enough.

If you notice in Grilla Drilla's art, you see him drilling. I would think they would keep the same concept for art, to make it easier to categorize. On the poster, it appears, out of the Earth Swappers, that only Doom Stone is kicking up dirt. My theory is that Doom Stone continually digs with his stone drill bottom, while Rubble Rouser uses his drill feet to spin, unlike Doom Stone.

Well it sounds crazy but maybe RR kicks up a tornado of dirt to spin because DS has to dig because he has a D-R-L-L DRILL you can see that he has one because he has a pointed bottom half not a flat one. Also in RR's poster picture he has dust around himself.

Oh my lord, THAT PROVES NOTHING!!! You don't realize the fact that it does NOT make sense for Rubble Rouser to be Spin over Doom Stone, who actually CAN be Spin. SO WHAT if he has a stupid drill for a bottom half. Rubble Rouser has drills on his FEET! Kicking dust up does NOT mean that Rubble Rouser will be Spin, as it would make more sense for Doom Stone to be spin: especially since it would be pretty dumb for him AND Grilla Drilla to have the EXACT SAME BOTTOM HALF! How cool would it be to have Hoot Drilla or Hoot Stone. Oh wait, what difference does it make cause they're EXACTLY THE SAME BOTTOM!!! I'm not saying that Doom Stone is set-in-stone Spin (No Pun Intended) just that I feel it's more likely for him to be Spin over Rubble Rouser. So please, with all do respect, STOP INSISTING THAT DOOM STONE IS DRILL! ...At least not until it's confirmed for sure. |

#50 Posted: 22:52:45 31/08/2013
Okay, you guys are also ignoring the fact that it would not be easy to make Rubble Rouser a Spin type without making him look completely stupid. Look at Doom Stone. His bottom half spins automatically, living his hands free to use his weapons. Sure, he COULD be Drill, but he could also be Spin. But Rubble Rouser? Does he have a spinning bottom torso? He may, he may not, but it sure doesn't look like it. How would they incorporate Spin into his design? They could probably make him spin around like a little pansy ballerina or something. Plus, Rubble Rouser ALSO has a weapon he uses, but he cannot spin and use weapons at the same time if his whole body spins. Well... he can, he just has to do it creatively.
I'm not insisting that Doom Stone is Spin, I'm just saying that it is highly unlikely that Rubble Rouser is Spin. Plus: Doom Stone always has a little dusty tornado in his art, which suggests that he is Spin. Edit: There's one more thing. Nothing says that Rubble Rouser/Doom Stone couldn't also be a Speed type. I mean, look at Trap Shadow? What could HE be? ...To be frank, his bottom half gives no clues at all. |
