Please forgive me if this could be stupid, but when I was looking up on the newly discovered four characters, I noticed on the Spyro wikia that there already was a character named Scratch in the Spyro universe and he was a villain in the newer Spyro games in The legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night and he had a partner named Sniff. Maybe he could be the new character and he could be since Cynder came from the Legend of Spyro saga and Hex was also mentioned to have once worked with Malefor so who knows. If he were to be, he'd probably be the second air guy since he is a parrot or even the second water for being a pirate parrot. You guys let me know what you think or if you have any other ideas who Scratch or any of the others could be.

The Scratch in the Skylanders universe and as a Skylander is sorta obvious he/she may a completely different character altogether. Unless we see what Skylanders Scratch looks like...

And Hex didn't work for Malefor. She was hunted down by him until she retiliated by defeating him.

Oh sorry had my facts all mixed up thanks for the heads up on that. Besides with the mentioning of Malefor, Sparx, Cynder, Spyro and mentioning some of Spyro's past stories definitely shows they did their research and they should know better than to throw two characters with the same name to confuse fans. Also I just wanted to open my thoughts to everyone because I thought this was an interesting theory and that I should have a thread by now for how long I've been on this site.

Well Pop Fizz's original name was Alchemist, and Alchemist was also a character from the original Spyro series.

They probably changed the name for that reason or just so they could give him a better name to attract the kids to him better. Either way that name changed prevented a possible controversy that could've confused fans whether old or new ones.

Scratch Theory is a great name for a band.

I have no doubt in my mind that if there's going to be a character named Scratch Theory in SWAP Force that it's definitely NOT going to be the same guy.

I still think it's going to be a completely different character. They wouldn't just bring back random characters, and Scratch isn't that original of a name.

I think he could be a pirate in the water element.Like his name could be scratch because he has a scare on his face,I assume this because normally pirates are named based on physical features.(Black Beard,Peg Leg ect.)

I anticipate a cat/human character with Wolverine claws. That'd be sweet.

On a different but not totally unrelated note I have my fingeres crossed that Smolderdash is a female fire unicorn, the reason being that Skyanders needs more females, especially one in the all-male fire element and that I really want a unicorn character in my collection.

Also Punk Shock sounds really cool. Can't wait to see some pics.

We don't have the 2 earth corelanders yet (only slobbertooth) so it might be a diamond cat of some sort

I have an idea about Scratch: an Air gargoyle-like Skylander. It would be great! Also his name could be a reference to the scratches on his rocky skin.

Say Drek that actually sounds like an awesome idea for a Skylander.

Thatnks! Maybe not Scratch, but I hope they will make a gargoyle-like Skylander, one day. It also fit well with the whole "Inanimated things to Life" concept.

If you ask me, I think Scratch will probably have huge claws on his fingers, not like the claw gloves that Terrafin has. ...Unless they're going to pull another Slobbertooth/Scorp. ...Just a guess, though.

To elaborate a little, Alan Wake had a character named Mr. Scratch, and like Beetlejuice he is jovial but slightly 'off'. My Scratch is a lot darker than Beetlejuice, but I love that idea of someone a bit off, like they have a glitch... like their personality is a record with a scratch in it that causes it to act a little erratic.



Obviously this is a kids game, and it can't go that dark. But they have had Hex and Ghost Roaster, who are both pretty dark. Plus you can have someone with a bit of an off personality and still be 'cute'.



I'd prefer something darker, but cute can work too.

That's still kind of besides the point of the topic, though. By the way, Mr. Scratch is another name for the Devil in case you didn't know.

What do you think SKYLANDER'S Scratch will really look like?

As for my other idea, for those who are unfamiliar with Eddy Gordo, this is him:


So that sort of breakdancing fighting style, only with a cat (or other clawed creature). Perhaps play a 'scratch' sound for some moves.

Another idea I have: Scratch sounds like he will probably be some type of animal. ...But, that's just another guess.
