I thought 8 were series 2 and 8 were series 3 but if all this info is true chop chop and cynder are both series 3 so what about series 2 undead?

It was unconfirmed to be 8 of each, just speculated. Evidently, it is not 1 of each, but a mixture.

Yeah, I thought it was going to be an 8/8 split as well. But they never actually stated that. They just said there would be Series 2 and Series 3 characters.

Do you have any evidence to back up that wild conjecture?

At no point did anyone from TFB or Vv suggest there would be 8-S2/8-S3. And considering the amount of time it takes to create/balance the wow-pows and the time it takes to make the molds for the toys, it's massively improbable that they ever planed something before having 'second thoughts'.

It was just someone's theory that was taken way too seriously and used in arguments to back up guesses that had no merit.

People aren't THAT stupid you know. When I was first looking at skylanders all I did was look at the back of both boxes and figured out the difference in like 5 minutes. So if they looked at the back of the three starter packs it wouldn't take them long to figure it out. They can use logic.

Sorry - all I mean is, for a newcomer, all the figures are new. What series they are is largely irrelevant.
Unless said newcomer is starting with something from before Swap Force... in which case they can just go off of whatever is ticked on the box.

*sigh* now that I think about it your right. I just want to believe that people can use at least a little bit of logic. Enough to figure out something like that anyway. However I get out often and if I couldn't realize that, I guess that means I'm dense. But if I am dense and I am able to figure it out when I'm still a teenager. Then parents with enough money to afford this stuff shouldn't be so dense to figure out something like that

Yeah, it does actually.

Frankly, I don't care what anyone says, I still believe that it was actually their intent at one point. Especially since it wasn't dis-proven until recently.

The concept of their being 8 S2 and 8 S3 was never confirmed by any formal source. What was stated was that there would be 16 reissues. As we started to learn characters the users of this site and other FANS noticed a pattern and were certain that we would see 8 S2 and 8 S3. This was based on the premise that the previous games have all been focused heavily in distribution patterns.

Sadly were simply wrong. It seemed logical at the time but we were wrong and just making an educated guess it happens.

I am closing this as I see nothing productive further to discuss here.
