On one hand, Doom Stone is pretty unoriginal... on the other hand, a stone knight (despite being somewhat cliche) is so neat I'm not sure why they haven't done it yet.

The only thing that I think is unoriginal in Doom Stone (so far) is the look. He is a rocky version of Grilla Drilla. But, I'm sure his powers will be different, and hopefully originals.

Well, this shows one thing. We know more about Swap Force's figures than Infinity's characters, which means Infinity is holding back more than Swap Force is.

There is rumored to be 10 Playsets, and we only know about 6. Who knows how many characters there are in each of the 3 waves of Infinity, but there is literally only a few things left to be revealed, while we have no idea the contents of Infinity's final 4 Playsets, characters with said playsets, stand alone characters, power discs for wave's 2 and 3.

This is the kind of exposure Skylanders needs between announcement and launch to keep the fans happy and interested. Glad to see we got some info, whether it was meant to be released or not.

The third row is quite alike (fangs, spikes on head, snub nose, pointy ears).
I hate to bring the topic up again, but a few females in there would have helped avoid the same-y look.
And more animal/creatures. And Robots (you can make robots look a LOT different from each other, more so then all these humanoids).

I agree with this. I don't think they need Drill feet for Dig. Which Doom Stone's feet don't even loo like a drill, jsut the same spin effect as Free Ranger.

I'm sure it wasn't supposed to be...and all of this to me is noise...I still need game mechanics explained to me. Not sure it matters...as it's looking less likely I'll be a buyer now.
