As a sort of an alternative to the Collectors Caving (Weak) Moments thread I thought it would be cool to see what some of our best deals we ever got on Skylanders would be. What are some of your cheapest finds in store or second hand? It could be trades or in-store promotions. The two that immediately come to mind for me would be: 1) A garage sale where I found S1 Eruptor, Prism Break, SunBurn, Wham-Shell, Zook, Warnado, Time Twister, Healing Elixir, Dragons Peak, Darklight Crypt and Volcanic Vault all for $22. They were opened (which is the only way I collect them) and they came with all their cards and codes. 2) Getting the 3DS Giants starter pack for $1 at Target...that was pretty amazing. So those are my examples, what are yours?

I traded 5 skylanders for legos to my brother... was a great deal! and 4 skylanders 2 giants and 2 corelanders for legos too to a friend!

I went to target and I got 5 skylanders for like 10 bucks some clearance sale

Clear Stealth Elf for $10.00 from ToysRUs, Rock Zook for $10, Rock Whirlwind triple for $26, Gold Drill Sergeant for $30, and Gold Flameslinger & Chop Chop for $20 each (loose).

Lightcore 3-pack for 15 euro, it was a gift from my siter though

Last year on Black Friday I got Dino Rang, Drobot, Whirlwind, Sonic Boom, and Stealth Elf for $2.99 each on Amazon.com... I love Amazon

Really have never gotten a good deal worth mentioning---Unless you count buying boomer and DC when originally out so bought then at regular prices. One thing that's nice is the GameStop manager that gives us all the promo stuff my son likes---skylanders, Pokemon, Mario--etc. he sets everything aside and let's him choose what he wants before anybody else. It's very nice.

I got a bunch of singles, triples and giants for $4,$5,$10 at Jcpenny's after xmas as they had them on clearance. I used many extras of those to trade with other family/friends to get newer stuff down the road. Like trading the triple cannon for the hot dog one.

Got good deals at target with their B2GO free. Helped me save there on a few when i picked up jade and again with scarlet.

Then there was the 2.99 giants swarm at amazon that one day, traded 2 of those for a hot head and crusher for my son.

2 GITD Warnado triples for 19.99.

For Matteomax finds, you have to know where to find these things on Ebay. Some of them were found in store but some where on ebay also.

The best deal I got on a skylander, was when my brother found a S1 missing an arm, we got it half-off. Though, the arm was still in the packaging. It was before anyone realized stuff like this is rare.

Gold Choppy and Flameslinger were eBay.
Drill Sergeant was Amazon.

A friend of mine gave me a Sprocket 2 months ago.
Also, when I bought Prism Break and Drobot, I was supposed to pay 20,00 € (euros) but ended paying 10,00 €, I was about to notice the women about that but realized that it was her fault she didn't did her job well.

Paying 2 bucks each for SSA drobot, double trouble, whirlwind, and ignitor in a target clearance.. Feels so happy

Dragons peak for 5 bucks sealed, 3ds starter for a buck, and red drill Sargent from walmart for 2.50 that's about the best so far almost had ghost roaster, wham shell, and Dino rang for 30 bucks but the guy backed out last minute. Oh and I got two seald scarlet ninjini's for 20 bucks not that great but good

I once bought 20 skylanders for $20 of the 20 it included boomer and ghost roaster with darklight crypt.

I'm deleting what I said on the other topic and putting it here. It fits here more.

One day, I was at a shop that had a bunch of characters I didn't have, and my dad talked me into shelling out 30 dollars for 6 of them, three of which were forgotten 8, though, and all were S1. I got and . 6 figures, plus four rare ones (Apparently S1 Zap is pretty rare) all for 30 bucks. Normally you'd have to shell out a mint for Ghost Roaster.

Clear Cynder with a regular Wham-Shell together for $70something.
Of course that is still higher than I'd like to spend but it was low compared to other resale prices at the time.

I totally forgot the recent deals on Skylanders that Gamestop.com had going on. I got the following for $35 : (2) S1 Whirlwind, S1 Stump Smash, S1 Drobot, S1 Stealth Elf, S1 Drill Sergeant, LightCore Prism Break, and the Giants Triple pack of Gill Grunt, Flashwing and Double Trouble.

I managed to snag three Scarlet Ninjini's at Best Buy at retail price.

The system had everything available at every store due to a glitch and it made it available, only one store in California had them. Haha, Just got them for the fam.

Actually, I'm very kind to people, at least that's what they say to me, and how my parents teached me to be. In that case, it was the cashier's fault, so, I don't have to get her attention to nothing, it's her job.
She's there to do her job well, if she let pass a thing, it's her fault, also, we're in economical crisis (Portugal, if you see the news I'm pretty sure you've heard about it) and I don't want to give my money for a person's error.

So if you were the cashier and you did that, you wouldn't expect a person to tell you?

It is stealing---if you know it's not yours and take it--regardless of the cashier making an error. The personal and communities financial situation is irrelevant to the taking if money that isn't yours.
If you want to be an honest and upstanding person you must have integrity.
As a child/minor, it's a chance to learn--and realize this was the wrong thing to do and you don't want to be a dishonest person--and learn from the mistake. I'd encourage you to discuss it with a trusted respectable adult in your life--whomever that may be.
I hope everybody here refrains from verbal attacks and "we" as peers on DS--explain and enourage proper behavior.
We all make mistakes. The key is in understanding what the mistake was--how to handle situation in the future--and in some cases making amends.

Either the 2 for 1 giants deal at 13gbp for both Ninjini and Thumpback in Asda or picking up Darklight Crypt for 18gbp in the same Asda!

The best deal was getting Darklight Crypt new & sealed a few weeks ago for ~ 23EUR :-D
After that we also got a new and sealed Triple Pack B including Boomer for about the same price as DLC.

I was once a cashier. From my perspective, its not stealing. If hr/she had stole the toy without paying that's stealing. Cashiers are being paid and trained to watch out for these errors. If they don't catch, that is their fault. If the customer feels they should say something, then more power to them but I'm not calling them hero of the year. Ive had to dish out cash for stupid little stuff. Lucky it was no ten bucks but it also taught me to be more aware and if I wasn't sure about the price, I'd check with my boss. Hell I wouldn't say anything either if it was the other foot.

Cbunny--I'll agree that maybe it isn't exactly "stealing"
I'll also agree that it's the cashiers mistake. But I've had people give me extra change plenty of times and I return it--because that's how I was raised--if it's not mine, taking it is dishonest. My main point was that if they were kids and made that choice--that I'm sure they are wonderful kids--but they should get some advice from a trusted adult. It was not to be mean to the kids.

Could we all please make it through just one thread without having it turn into a scalper, cheater and/or stealer discussion? That would be so amazing! I created this thread because I was curious about other peoples great deals they have found. I wasn't interested to hear how somebody was able to get free merchandise from a mistake a cashier makes. That isn't a deal, that is just being dishonest. I know that if I did something like that I would think about it for quite a while afterwards knowing what I did was wrong. It is called having a conscious. Some of us are born with one, others are not.

Not you at all shelly9871. I was referring to "others" who post things throughout these forums when they know it will probably produce some upset responses. Sorry I wasn't more direct in who I was targeting my rant towards.
