The Skylanders Wikia had an official Q&A posted in a blog, and Activision created a video answering the questions that were posted: http://skylanders.wikia.com/wi...Force_questions

From the interview:

• All Skylanders, both old, new and Swap Force, will have their backstories in the game while viewing in the Collections section.
  
• We may see something of Blobbers in the future, but not in Swap Force.
  
• The game starts with Flynn taking a vacation on the Cloudbreak Islands.
  
• There are other unannounced female Skylanders for Swap Force.
  
• Core Skylanders can't go into the Swap Force Zones.
  

Cool, this clears some things up, now, this makes me think that SD could be a girl. Plus, anyone else excited that there is gonna be a cyborg made from something other that a human?!?

They forgot Trigger Happy! He's not even part robot.

Also that bit about boomer having robot legs and gloves from a accident is a bit dark which is cool, kind of reminds me of the old starfox and how they all amputated there legs and replaced them with robot legs so they wouldn't pass out while flying.

I'm an active admin on the Skylanders Wikia, and the Wikia staff member posted the Q&A blog on there.

Well, actually they are called "Sneak Zones", not "Stealth Zones". But yes, it is stealth.

What can be more sneaky than invisibility?
I can understand that they can't really apply a movement type to every Skylander, but Stealth Elf's entire character is based around sneaking and she's in the sodding starter pack.

I get that Vv want to do their own thing here, but I feel like they aren't respecting TFB's characters.

Ok. I don't think they aren't respecting the old characters. But they want to keep the Swaplanders (not all theyr characters) unique. Then why can't Eruptor, or Boomer smash a wall, but a bomb, or a giant, can?

Yeah, it's for the new characters only, though, I would love to see sneaking around one of Kaos's bases.

Dang, wish I had known this earlier. I mostly stay on Spyro Wiki (which includes Skylanders) instead of Skylanders Wiki, but if it gets events like this every now and then I'll start back checking it.

Yes, I have to admit that, even if they aren't revealing shocking or incredible contents, they are still revealing quite often new things. And this is good, to me.

Yeah. Although quite a few of the questions asked in this video were already known (such as how halves upgrade, etc.). Probably the reason Activision chose them :P

I always thought they should've put a backstory or at least a brief description of their moves on the back of the packaging, just to add some flavor.

Well the interview didn't take in all of the questions posted on the blog. It looked like TFB chose which question was okay to answer to the viewers.

Incidentally, we did get one or two new bits of info in this video (but little else), the one that caught my attention was an explanation of Stealth Zones.

(Not exact quote, just a paraphrase) Stealth Zones will have you trying to sneak through one of Kaos's bases without getting caught. That could either be really fun or really frustrating (or a mixture of both...)!
I recall elsewhere I think someone mentioned how Teleport zones worked, but I can't remember how. Anyway, these new zones add quite a bit of new gameplay to the game, and I'm happy to see them. Not sure if I want to spend a lot of money to get 8 different movement types though (seriously, the game costs $75. even with double packs, that'd still be about $75 more to get all 8 types. Well played, oh Great Beings of Avarice that dwell beneath the earth!)

I think that Blobbers may become a fully fledged skylander in a later game. From S:SA, he has helped the skylanders, and maybe soon, eon will recruit him...

I'd think the other 100+ skylanders would have to be slaughtered by Kaos before that happens.

Actually, I think Blobbers is MAD at Flynn for bailing on him at the carnival, and he'll actually turn evil.

Blobbers has never really struck me as someone who would ever be mad at the skylanders and their friends, and also, I'm not sure that Kaos will return after Swap Force. I think his time as the villain is over...

Maybe Kaos"s mom will take over as main villian? Afterall she is in swap force

I don't think they would have his mum in a game without him also being there. The only way i can see it working is if the next game is set in the past, before kaos was born...
