- The Chinese Dragon Skylander in the SSA is Camo
- Rattle Shake and Free Ranger will be in singles
- There will be no Girl Swappers, as Transsexualism can get Activision into heaps of trouble
Those are the ones I can think of right now

Free Ranger confirmed for single
E3 confirmed it but shake isnt confirmed

Swap force characters are male with a gender neautral feel

Also the Chinese dragon was an early model of camo

Okay,1,no need to be rude.But here is what I think.

1.Yes Blizzard Chill is not a varient because if she was Mega Ram Spyro,Lava Barf Eruptor and Ninja Stealth Elf would be varients also.

2.No he is not,they both appered in the trailer and were in the same scene.

3.Yes,most likely they will as Free Ranger is planned.

4.Well they would not get in trouble by people but they will by parents.

I'm sorry, but how can you say the Chinese dragon Skylander is Camo? Look at the photos! They're clearly not the same. They're both green in colour but they are obviously different.

Chinese Dragon was the prototype design for Camo, a scrapped design before the devs changed him to Camo's current look.

She's saying that Camo started out looking like Chinese Dragon, and then changed over time to look like Camo. Most of the Skylanders started out looking a lot different to how they look now.
Ninjini was blond and white skinned with a top that revealed her navel


Bouncer used to look like a Cylon from BSG.


The original Zap and Spyro didn't look like that at all:


And Double Trouble changed a lot:


So the idea is that Chinese Dragon turned into Camo.
The fancy CGI trailers are made well before the game is locked down, so there is a good chance that they used an old Camo model.

And for what it's worth, I feel that the level of dialogue in the first thread was a cut above the mediocre discourse that normally infests this site. I agree whole heartedly that a discussion is not a war by its nature. However there are certain events that occur that transform discussions into flame wars. The key to effective discussion is to stay on topic and avoid blatantly calling out other users on their thoughts and opinions at this point the once conversation becomes a battle that often has no conversational merit. The point is to remain respectful of other users and discuss the topic not the differences between users.

I think that Blizzard Chill aint no variant! I may be looking into it, but her skin colour in the new fig is similar to that of ssomeone that has gotten frostbite or hypothermia or is dieing of cold, so yeah maybe Blizzard Chill was caught in a Blizzard....

Well, no - the Dragon was actually a scrapped character, there's a prototype figure of him at Toys for Bob.

Transsexualism won't get Activision into heaps of trouble - have you heard of She-Zow?

They probably think consumers will be more inclined to buy a repeat character if it's the toy also has a new name, so it feels more different than just series 1/series 2.

My guess is that adding to the names makes it easier to add them to all the iOS games. There is $ to be made...

They added the names to emphasize the reposes this time and make them sound like they are more than just the same character in a different model. That's something that has been a thorn in their side with Giants, the difference between Series 1 and 2 is somewhat mysterious to most, and it is harder to justify to parent buying the same figure all over again with nothing more than a number to sound different.

For example:

Eruptor -> Eruptor Series 2

versus

Eruptor -> Volcanic Eruptor -> Lava Barf Eruptor

The recent variants have proven that people will get excited over figures that clog the shelves if they seem different. Flashwing, no big deal but JADE Flashwing, OMG gotta have it! The Whirlwind Series 1 and Series 2 always seem to be on the pegs, but put a POLAR in front of that and people go crazy.

It turns out that both things were true... rather than let the work go to waste, they reused some assets.

I agree it's confusing. In Giants, the figures with forenames were variants, but the majority kept their original names. In SSF all the S2/S3 figs now have a forename. If you asked someone who has no knowledge of skylanders which Eruptor in SwapForce is the variant, they would probably guess and point at the cooler looking one. I'm glad there is so many fans here to sort out and share this info. With Universe I had my list done early, but now I'm gonna have to do it wave by wave.

Blizzard chill is not a variant!! She is a s2 chill and has blizzard in her name because all s2 and s3 have a new thing at the start of their name she is confirmed to be a series 2 and is not a variant
